is the current up-to-date version of fallout 4 still a beta?

they do regard their game as a finished product and apparently nothing is being embellished upon for the vr game, so i'm not really asking anything interesting here other than does anyone know why my steam menu stilll says [beta] in it? was gonna try mods again but if there's the slightest complication wrt compatibility betwixt versions, i already wince

That is because you opted into the steam beta updates for Fallout 4.
It doesn't mean that you have a beta version, it means that game is allowed to get beta updates, to disable that just go to your Fallout 4 properties and in the last tab called "BETAS" you can opt out and that [Beta] will disappear from your game's name.

ty. ya i guess that makes sense. if that's what i'm seeing, it always used to shut off on it own but ya i won't get my hopes up that they're fixing anything for vr release. i'll still leave it at that setting since i'm not sure why it's set to that or even appears in the options.
