We, people, tend to think that we are above simple psychological tricks, above "flock mentality", rethorical trickery, and so on, but we really aren't, and TV advertisers know this very well, throwing banalities at us, like "BUY NOW!" "HURRY!" "LIMITED!" "BEST!" "SAVE MONEY!"
the reason it works so well, is that words work, language works, messages work. All words don't work on you, but the words that don't work on you, work on someone else, and the words that don't work on them, work on you.
