Jon Stewart on Crossfire

Who else wishes he had those cajones?

This is by far the best thing I've ever watched on Crossfire. Stewart brings up a point that is often realized but not usually discussed in such a medium like that. I only wish that I could've watched it live.

Who else applauds him?

As usual Windows Media Player seems intent on beating me like a Canadian wife. Mind repeating what was said in a nutshell?

Er.. The whole thing is thirteen and a half minutes long, so I don't think that I can really "summarize" it for besides Stewart pointing out on live Crossfire how popular news media sources are in a way to blame for how people seem to be out of touch with politicians nowadays.

That's how I interpreted it at least.

I've been watching TDS for months now, ever since someone linked a hilarious clip from ComedyCentral

And I just noticed I can watch it on CNN Europe tonight! *me does the happy dance*

Jon just rocks so hard.

I have absolutely no idea why he did'nt rip on Begala. I'd say Begala is the biggest liar on the show, and a creep to boot. I did'nt even think he was that funny.

Took balls though.

"I wouldn't want to have dinner with you."

"You won't."

Best thing I've seen in weeks.

Hehe...Jon is great, isn't he?

I usually don't watch Crossfire, though I thought Crossballs was a funny parody in some ways.

Crossfire is about as coherent, relevant, and informative as watching and trying to understand a flock of ghetto women trying to yell over each other.

Bah Crossfire is at 4:00 am here, so i`ll just check the clip then. I watch Stewart show everyday at 21:00, a few weeks later than the original was aired, still it`s great. And yeah Claw the best weekly moments on CNN I are nice, but many things get lost there, there`s just too much goodness for a half an hour summary.

Hrm. No Daily Show. CNN.com is haphazard. They showed a replay of Business Traveller!?

Meh, more luck next week.

That was a great clip-
___
"Stop... You're hurting America."
__
"Obviously you're smart. You can tie a bowtie and those aren't easy."
___

"Where do you go after the deabtes, Spin Alley? Why not just call it Lie and Deception Lane?"

____

"I thought you'd be funny."

"I'm not your monkey."

----best line in the exchange.

As much as I dislike people taking celebrities seriously...good for John. I think maybe his comedy status can let him be more open and no so damn politically correct.

Sincerely,
The Vault Dweller

I thought Tucker called Stewart a dick.

Funny how Tucker was going after Stewart for being morally responsible, and Stewart goes, "the show that comes on before me is about puppets making crank calls!"

It was just so bizarre and absurd. The Crossfire guys are thinking, "Stewart has an Emmy, he's ripe for us." And Stewart is like, "oh here's an opportunity to really insult these guys."

But Stewart is right- it is just spin and hacking, a perverted theater.

Well, Comedy Central also did Crossballs, which had some funny points, but the entire piece of humor was a mockery of the whole insane bit around Crossfire and Hardballs. I think Stewart or one of his writers may have some hand in it.

I couldn't find any humor in Crossballs simply because it was too close to its subject.

Stupid bickering is still stupid, even if it is about Dead Babies.
