Joystick recommendations

After reading the Mechwarrior thread, I pulled out my old Mechwarrior 2: Mercenaries and got hooked. I know Mechwarrior 4 will be released for free soon, but I went ahead and ordered them, since they were cheap. So now I'm missing a joystick. My old one broke down about 8 years ago, and I haven't really contemplated getting a new one since, but I remember Mechwarrior being so much better with a joystick. As a bonus, I could pull out Tie Fighter again, if I bought one.

So can anyone recommend a good joystick for Mechwarrior? I'm not going to use it for any other games (except Tie Fighter, possibly), so it has to be well-suited for Mechwarrior. Thanks.

I found Trust GM-2500 to be really nice in X-Wing Alliance, and it cost me maybe 30€ or so

Any higher end Saitek joystick is awesome.

I love my X45.

I had a force feedback pro back in the Mech 2 / X-Wing days, worked great for both games.

Thanks for the input guys. Apparantly the Force Feedback Pro is gameport only, plus it has problems with xp compatibility, so I ended up ordering a Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 on ebay.

I'll need an adapter for the power plug, though, but that's easy and cheap to get, so no big deal.
