Life... Is good.

WOOHOO!!!

We are working hard on changing those "first impact" feelings and introducing a gradual learning curve to the game.
I hope this "gradual learning curve" thing will be optional.

The game starts in 1453, right after Constantinople has fallen to the Turks
What? You mean I don't get to play as Byzantium? Me no like!

Never even heard of this game before and i like strategy games

Seems to be kinda good. I will try it some day.

Any game you can compare it to? Looks a little bit like a HoI in the middleages?

It's by the same developers as HOI and it uses the same basic engine, so comparing it to HOI isn't way off. However, the EU games run over a much, much longer time period than HOI and they aren't only about war, so we're still talking about two very different games, imo.

They're definitely worth a try though.

Well, it'll apparently use a new engine now. About time, really - making six games and an expansion pack out of one engine is kinda stretching it.

Also, EU is more about economy, politics and conolization than HOI is. War is just building up as much cavalry/infantry as your economy allows, grouping them into one army and siege province after province. War is kinda boring, rly. But the rest of the game is absolutely divine.

I've played that one too.

I play all of them...

Victoria was a bit over the top on micromanagement, though, so I don't play it anymore.

Have you ever played the VIP mod for Vicky? It improves the game quite a bit, and gives a lot of new flavor events to the game. :)

Cheers, Thorgrimm

I have, I have.

Truly, there is nothing new anyone can teach me about Paradox games :D
