Life on Mars?

RUN_LIKE_HELL

Still Mildly Glowing
Just saw this on the news...

An official NASA photograph has cropped up many questions after what seems to be a woman-like figure was captured by Spirit, NASA's Mars explorer robot.

While the American agency was not drawn into the speculation, the photograph is remarkably similar of a woman with her arm stretched.

While some sections have played it down to rock and shadow optical illusion, despite everything it has created a media buzz, especially across the web.

Major news channels have hired experts to describe the chances of the figure being an alien or some sort of living currently residing in Mars.

"I'd say the chances of it being a living orgasm are far-fetched, however human knowledge about space is extremly limited, so you never know whats out there" one expert said.

I personally belive that this is bullshit its a simple mater of rock and shadow optical illusion, same thing happened for the mars face myth

I saw this on the news this morning.
I would figure rock. It's the face if mars for a new generation.

Though I don't totally believe it's a martian, I am not one to count anything out.

It could be a fossilized dude? (not likely but...)

Still neat none the less.

I'm pretty sure nasa already sent the rover the explore "the rock" & we should get new images pretty soon. If not well...question should be asked.

As for the tusken riders, although not impossible but highly unlikely because they are indigenous to Tatooine, not mars...& the fact that we do not live in a star wars alternate universe!

Agreed.

In George we trust? You don't know that to be a fact! The Star Wars universe exists here and now!

I love it when stuff like this pops up. I'm sure it's nothing but still.

Yes I'm pretty sure, otherwise I would not have posted this topic...and I would probably be protecting the emperors saggy balls as an imperial royal guard or be chopping some heads off with my red light saber as a sith lord. Sadly it is not the case, so I refuse myself to belive...must resist..Arrghh curse you Darth Maphusio with your mind tricks.

Now your betrayal to light side is complete!

I hope this turns out to be the real thing (as unlikely as that happens to be). The extra funding organizations like NASA, the ESA and so forth will get will be awesome.

I love reading space stuff.

Well, thank-you for pointing that out. I would never have realised such a remarkbly fresh truth like that without your help. Don't be coy with me, you're a nukular fisist ain'tja.

It still amazes me that we have a robot on Mars. It really is true that Science-Fiction becomes reality more and more every day.

If they start chasing that rock it will really make me wonder about their competence. I guess those guys have more than one camera, in different spectres of light, so they don't need to go to that rock formation up close to know it's not alive. Simply wait until the sun's rays fall at a different incidence or simply wait and see if it moves.

A book you may find interesting is "Slip String Drive" by Andrew L. Bender
I've been reading through it and it really has warped my perception on the universe.

My thoughts as well. With no liquid water and no plants for an animal to eat it can't be any sort of animal. Unless they live underground and rarely venture to the surface.

Although I'm almost certain it isn't living just what is natural in the environment that happens to look like a living humanoid will certainly be a surprise. My guess is there are multiple objects at different distances that from one angle come together to form that shape.

Oh and if this is an alternate Star Wars universe...all of a sudden Psychosnipers attempt at making a bamboo lightsaber aren't funny at all anymore.

Sincerely,
The Vault Dweller
