Lonesome Road: First screenshot (or rather, a part of it)

Because I am blind, here is a zoomed in version:

Wonder what that columns (?) in the background are. On the right side you can see a street railing.

I'd say Lonesome Road will have some big city ruins all around.

I wonder if these columns in the background are early (or low detail) versions of the Divide twisters, without the alpha effect.

Solitary... That can't be Solitary as in Solitary confinement, can it? They wouldn't reuse Tibbets, would they?

Actually, it's "Solitare," with an e at the end. :> It could as well be Solitaref, but that doesn't make much sense.

Huh. Looks like you're right, I was going off the description of the text in the Newspost.

Phew though... VB was cool and all but there's a limit to how much can be recycled. Especially since there's no way for Ulysses in this game and The Ulysses from the VB documents to work together.

They look like the brackground of the old (and awesome) Roadrunner cartoons, but there are some City ruin looking thigns on the right side.

i bet Chris Avellone is one of the users of this forum and has a lot of fun now reading comments in this thread :)

Yeah. They're pretty definitely hoodoos, which isn't surprising since you get those a lot near, y'know, canyons.

I dunno if I agree that they're city looking ruins. Solitaire's pretty definitely a gas station, not just because of how the signage looks, but because it's a vintage take off of Chevron, so I'm willing to bet it's a highway scene. You can see Guard-rails too. From the look of them, you're looking down the road, straight ahead. The "city" stuff might be more rock formations, like you're looking down the highway to the divide or something.

But I was totally retarded about thinking it was Tibbets, so whatever.
