Looking for a mod to play...

Now that I have completed Fallout 2, I am looking for a decent-quality mod to play, but even though the game is almost six years old, all the mods for it that I read about seem to still be in production, and months away from being finished/released.

So, are there any released and finished FO2 mods out there worth playing?

Alec, try the Vertibird mod. Its fun to have a vertibird instead of the car (or both, but not at the same time.)

As for the mutants: Good. I wouldn't like playing as a mutant. Mutants scare me though. I keep running into and getting killed by them.

The Klamath-Arroyo Mod changes the initial part of Fallout 2. You can become a weapons expert or a healer and you get a couple of quests. The Temple of Trials experience is a bit different as is the play in Arroyo. It's kind of fun. Some different items. The Old witch doctor guy doesn't work as he should, but it's kind of interesting.

Worth trying. I was pleased with it, because that's one of the most boring parts of Fallout 2.

My problem with the mods is that usually they just give you more weapons or make super weapons or change the weapons- kind of boring really.

Fallout is better when it's more difficult and different, not when it's easier.

I like Mack_the_Knife's Fallout 2 mod myself. The only problem is that the high-quality bullets that you buy one at a time weigh a pound a piece. But other than that, I had a lot of fun with it. No longer was I shooting townspeople twice with a 10mm to kill them.

Don't get your hopes up. After all, Kahgan is working on it. That spells nothing but disaster.

Dont dispare, Ratty, I'm just a mapper, and I am indeed a good one...at least onethousandsixhundredandfourtyseven times better than your geeky ass would ever be.
but hell, think what you want, the MOD will be just as good anyways
