It is VERY old news but since you posted it I will update you on what is going on with the movie. According to Yahoo! News Australia, Mel Gibson has finally decided to do the movie and shooting of the movie has already begun. While this has only been stated by Yahoo News Australia, as far as I know, it is a possibility. Most, if not all, of the other news sources say Mel Gibson is out but George Miller, the Director, is still in. Only time will tell of there is going to be a Mad Max 4: Fury Road. That IMDB page has been up for a LONG time.

He said he'd never do it, but Mel Gibson has finally started work on the fourth installment of Mad Max: Fury Road. The actor - who last year earned a whopping $300 million, and has just been named in a leading poll as the world's most powerful celeb - will begin shooting in Sydney and Namibia. Only thing is, Mel's accent is completely Americanised now - wasn't Max as Aussie as they come?"

I do not have a working link to the news article as the news is quite old and has been taken off of Yahoo! News Australia's website. Luckily I saved the article.

There was a People Magazine spread about Gibson not too long ago. Said he was going ahead with it, but there are some budget concerns at the moment. Once those get worked out, we'll have Mad Max 4.

Yep, to go along with our Fallout 3, our Star Wars I-III and any other crappy sequel/prequel to a well loved film/game/album/chocolate bar.

I don't hold out a great deal of hope for it to be honest.
Never mind, there's not a lot that can be done about it.
