Metal Gear Solid 4

Half Life 2 has met its match, at least in terms of visual appearance. I'm curious to see how PS3's shitty CPU cores will deal with A.I. of all those soldiers, though.

Better than the average "monster gamer" PC rig can handle AI for Doom 3 or Half Life 2.

Oh, nothing, except that it doesn't implement design concepts Intel and AMD began introducing *fifteen years ago*. Such as out of order execution, which coupled with poweful pipeline architecture allows the CPU to perform several instructions per clock cycle by using several parallel ALUs, a branching unit and whatnot. Sony instead shoved half a dozen inferior cores on one chip, provided overpowered and overpriced video hardware for fanboys to jerk off to (as if graphics are the only thing that benefits from powerful hardware) and slapped a ridiculous price tag on a system that would likely deliver less SPECmarks than a clocked PIII Coppermine.

Really, these consoles get more unimpressive with every incarnation.

I'd venture that it won't, in general.

WTF? Snake looks like a 60 year old ninja pirate!
There's a reason for that. It's chronologically the LAST game. He's supposed to be old.

"Back in my days, sonny, we didn't have them fancy tek-no-logical thingamajigs like guns and explosives, we fought the Kaiser using clubs and we were damn happy to have them, I tell you zzzzzzzzzzzzz"

Meh if I want to play a book I'll read one of those "Choose Your Own Ending" books.

I loved MGS(Played it many times through) and I even beat MGS2, but I couldn't stand MGS3 for more then a few hours. If they get a clown enemy I will be there in a heart beat though.

Had vampires, gay naked men, a blind sniper(was he blind?), an invisible ninja robot, a fetish club psychic, and Arnold with mini guns and ravens. The only thing that can save MGS for me is a freakin clown!

Mohrg

Yeah, pretty much you gotta remember Solid is a clone made from Big Boss' bits when he was about 40ish, so naturally he is going to age at a faster rate. The graphics are boner-inducing though and every webcomic out there is poking fun at the ole' grayhead. Reminds me of the Doombot's poking fun at the idea of using the Fallout 1 character in Fallout 2.

Splinter cell 4 > MGS 4. At least it's based on stealth, not a cinematic. And MGS 4 seems more "actiony" than the other games. Still looks to be ruleage, though. But what happened to the AI/Alien world in the second game? What the fuck is up with the story? I'm so confused.

Sam Fisher looks like he's been replaced by some younger ones, if the trailer is true. Maybe it's time for Snake (GOD I HOPE HE DIES AND GETS REPLACED BY A HOT CHICK).

What the hell is wrong with the PS3? Aside from the controller, I'd say NOTHING. Also, Half-life 2 met its match graphically a long time ago.

*EDIT* Haha, the trailer is in Engrish. And I don't see what's so fucking special about it.

Yes there is nothing natural for Snake's aging faster since you don't see that process in nature that much (cloning) but...yeah, the choice of words was imprecise. Logically would have been a better modifier.
