Metzger's ties with The Enclave

In FO2 when you ask Metzger why he wants the radio, he lets slip something about The Enclave and New Reno. Now to the best of my reasoning, I can only think that it has to do with the Enclave's slave trade. I think it was Matt from the BOS who mentioned that, and of New Reno it could only be the Salvatores, as they had dealings with the Enclave in exchange for the 'lightbringers'. Am I wrong?

I think that he is actually spying on them. Doesn't he mention the radio is used to monitor transmissions ?

I can't remember where exactly but at some point you find out that Metzer is supplying them with slaves. That's why he won't sell any to you; he's saving them all for the Enclave.
 
Enclaves gets slaves from Metzger, and they get chemicals from Salvatore.
In New Reno he mostly sells slaves to the Mordino family (they need them for Jet testing).
 
Then why are the chemicals (from Salvatore) and slaves (from Metzger) in the Den, but you only see the enclave trading with the Salvatores at New Reno? Wouldn't it be smarted to just use the Den which is closer to the ocean? Or just move the slaves to New Reno, insted of the chems to The Den?
 
Even if they are from the Mordinos then why are they there anyway? Where are they going?

Probably was deleted, or maybe just there for you to ask what it was made of.
