As an official delegate from TeamX I have an interesting offer for gamers and modders:

TeamX presents:

"Fallout2: MrFixit" v1.0

Here`s a short description of the mod:

"MrFixit" is more an add-on, than a mod, that adds the ability to batch
various items by your own hands to the game. To be some more correct, it is not
an add-on - it is a tool, which allow you to think out and add to the game new
items to batch and use this idea in Your own mod.

Before you read the readme file I can only say that it can be easily integrated in any mod you are working at (detailed description inside).

It can be downloaded here. Attention! English version is only 60kb! Get it, try it, love it =)
 
I'll do the interface so it applies more to the game...
Sorry for late reply, but I have to dissapoint you: I`ve already done it and the new version of MrFixit is being tested now and coming soon.

well if you thinking of braking like becoming completely useless it's already in the game... when you make a critical failure... but if you think of breaking in smaller parts it's doable with mrFixit... this minigun can be dismantled...

Yes, this is what I am thinking, but not at all. I mean the item is breaking in smaller parts after using, for example pistol after doing some strikes is going to broke and it must be repaired if I want to use it.

BTW minigun, how can I dismantle this in Mr Fixit?

Currently there is no plans for further stand-alone versions of MrFixit. It will be integrated in upcoming version of New Vision. (coming soon ;) )

This worth its own topic. With MrFixit you can only allow Chosen itself to brake predefined (by you) items to parts.

are you planing to improve the code or just the database?
Does this mean that I'll have to wait forever for the next version :) just kidding... so, than, when's the mod coming out?

The code is polished enough to work properly. The next NV will provide a possibility of upgrading all weapons yourself and making many other useful things (including our new ones) in case of having respective recipes. The recipes will be got as an award for complete quests... In a few words, it will be interesting, I think.

The recipes! So, all recipes will not be displayed as they are in the current version? That's the good idea! Makes whole thing more interesting...

I WANT THE VERSION WITH HIDDEN RECIPES!!! :lol: :lol: :lol:

Exactly. This would be more to the reality.

Will it be as easy to edit as it is the current version, or better, are you planing to make an Editor (app)?
Will you make the support for FRMs instead of PIX i witch case i wouldn't need to go and double my mod size... :wink:
Will there be any new (and good) add-ons beside the mrFixit?
Will this all happened THIS YEAR!?

Will I be able to use my database (test01.msg) in newer version?
 
Respectively:
1. The same.
2. No. The engine function is not figured out (yet?).
3. Did you mean changes from NV1.1?
4. Undoubtably.
5. You`ll have to change the numbers of your strings, because the present ones are used by the scripts.
 
Hmm... just in case...
TX news from 24.09.05:
A New (1.1) version of "MrFixit" add-on can be found in our downloads section.
Short list of changes:
- new interface graphics (thanks to $py aka Spy)
- some new algorithms (only coding, not usage)
- full command.h compatibility with the Fallout2 v1.02d sources by Haen

BTW "New Vision" v1.2 almost ready ;).
 
Unfortunately it is unable to make pictures with the transparent background :( ... And it is unable to use frm instead of pcx. It is not our idea, it's a "feature" of the "interface" mode :).
