Need For Speed: Carbon

Duckman

Sonny, I Watched the Vault Bein' Built!
I bought this game yesterday on Xbox360 (when it was first released in Australia) and I have to say, it isn't really that great.

Sure, it has that "uber cool- I'm driving teh b35+ car d00ders" or whatever, but Most Wanted is far better.

I mean, shit. I have played the game for about an hour and I am 15% of the way through it. How fucking ridiculous.

Anywho, what are your thoughts on the game?

SPOILER

From what I know, the single-player game can be finished in .... 8 hours. Next thing you need to do is go online and win and unlock those 'cool stripe and gears'. The problem is the multiplayer menu sucks big donkey balls -> hard to navigate, no LAN gameplay  and random crash to desktop.

In short, another EA's 'rush-then-patch' game.

EDIT: PC version.

Yeah, that wouldn't surprise me. The graphics are quite good in places, but landscapes and everything are dark, so you can't see them. NFS Most Wanted is by far better, and the police actually have a reason for being there- raising your bounty. Bounty has no use at all, and it all goes off "heat" ratings.

I am disappointed.

The thing i heard the most is that the drifts are too easy. In other nfs you had to be real good to perform good drifts now you just have to turn.

Everyone likes the new features but they say nfsu2 > nfsC

I hate the new drift.

Downhill is too simple, but I just can't figure out the circuit drift. It is far too "slippery" for my liking.

I actually thought the drfting was easier in NFSU2, than in NFSC
