Fallout 2 utility Need help with FO2 Assets

First time out of the vault
Hi, so I'm a first time poster and my account was made exactly just to ask for help with this tbh.

A friend of mine and I are attempting to make a Fallout PnP game and I'd like to make somewhat good looking maps for it, my issue is that I struggle with finding actual Fallout assets which I could use and when I finally found a thread on this forum on how to rip files from the game itself I had to find out the hard way that apparently the frm2bpm converters aren't downloadable anymore. So now I'm stuck with a lot of FRM files which my mapmaker (Dungeon Painter Studio) obviously can't read. I've also given Bismapper a shot but that program apparently hates windows 10 or something.

If anyone could help me out here either with assets in any picture format that isn't FRM (preferably png) or an explanation on how I can convert those files myself that would be greatly apreciated.

try hitting up teamx[dot]ru and fiddle around with google translate. You should find all you need there.

But Beware.. if you try to make a P'n'P Game as a commercial product with out explict permission from Bethestards Game Studio You're asking yourself for trouble. (as seeing You've already enlisted a profesional company for map making, I assune You 're making a commercial product). Be Warned that Beth still owes IP rights, so unless you're a whale that spends $$ to make fans around the world happy with a free game, or you plan to have it for yourself and closest friends only, You should get a license from Beth or they'll get you lawsuited sooner or later.

Oh, no! Bad Wording there, a friend of mine and I are playing the already existing FalloutPNP in a custom setting (homebrew campaign essentially) and DPS is a software which you can buy on steam for like 15 bucks that's used for mapmaking... which is kinda needed since we are playing on roll20. It's all for private use, nothing gets sold or released.

That being cleared up, thanks for the tip!

uh.. oh.. phew..
For a second i thought you were a Beth spy skulking in here.

Anyways go look in teamX's archive like i said above. Those guys made most of the tools for fallout modding anyways.
the tool you're looking for is there, I've checked myself. You'll probably need a help from 'ol "uncle google's" translate, as the site is in russian.

Good luck.

P.S.
A good antivirus will come in handy as well.

Frm Animator has a batch converter tool. Also here is a mirror list of the old TeamX files.

I've also given Bismapper a shot but that program apparently hates windows 10 or something.
I'm using it just fine.

So what was the issue and what was the solution?
So the issue was exactly what QuantumApprentice described in this thread. His solution, of changing your screens resolution, however didn't work for me because that just made everything painfully small and the Bismapper slow. Instead I downloaded the files shared by NovaRain and in the ini I changed the mode to fullscreen dx9 and graphics width/hight to my resolution which made the Bismapper finally work for me.

And while I'm here lemme ask: by FRM Animator you did mean the Frame Animator on the site you shared, right? I couldn't find the bulk conversion in that application..... I might be a bit dull

Yes, Frame Animator. The batch function is under File -> Automate.

Right, I saw the automate function, though I also seem to be immensely stupid and still haven't figured it out.... a step by step explanation would be VERY appreciated. (I feel like the username I picked starts fitting more and more)
