And Oblivion was more like ordering a supreme pizza and getting just plain cheese pizza and then handing the toppings to the players through the construction kit. I just hope they give us a construction kit so we can see some of you guys breath whatever life into the game you felt missing.

If you're looking at high-res pictures of naked ladies on your computer and within about the first 300px you see mustache, I think it's pretty acceptable at that point to start passing judgment on it. We haven't see the whole thing, but we've all seen 'stache and stubble and that might be alright with some of the Bethesda fans but not to us.

Someone asked what the other side of the spectrum looked like and I answered. Stop getting butthurt at an insult that was not meant for you. I admit more than half the reporters who've taken a look at the game sound like they've been paid off or don't really have an idea oif what they're talking about.

you realize that the viewpoint you are trying to support is actually the mainstream opinion on Fallout 3, whereas our opinion which is often based on as many observations of the game that we can make at this point, is not the "mainstream" one.

Seriously, why would we care? If there are some people bothered by our opinion or attitude, why don't they just ignore us? Unless they come here - which would make no sense since they don't like us - why should their opinion bother us?

Seriously, as an adherent to the sheeple theory, why would you say should we care about what sheeple thinkg? (I'm not an adherent of the sheeple theory, note)

Also, you seem to think we only draw negative conclusions based on anything Bethesda shows. That's not true. But we do call 'em as we see 'em, and so far we've mostly turned out to be right. I remember people saying "man, trust Bethesda" when we said they'd probably turn Fallout 3 into a FP/RT shooter-RPG. And they ended up doing just that. Heck, the forum was even moderated back then to stop people from jumping to conclusions, but since most of those conclusions turned out correct, that just looks like folly in retrospect.

The key question is: what exactly is the harm in us calling it as we see it?

actually it's that we don't care so much about what other people, who can't be bothered to form a coherent argument based on their own observations and research, think.

there is a distinction.

we enjoy discourse with people of varying opinions and arguments as long as those opinions and arguments are well thought out and based on something other than lies they were fed by the bethesda hype machine and the corrupt gaming media.

when you parrot the same tired arguments that we've been hearing for more than a year now, it makes us less inclined to care about what you think, as we can tell right off the bat, that you haven't done your homework.
