New Steam Web Browser

Can anyone confirm if that works on consoles too?

??

Steam is a PC app

Anyways, nothing new, Steam content viewer is already using an the IE-browser plugin when browsing all product pages, just no control over the address. I imagine now they launch external links and user typed URLs in a steam skinned IE window now, instead of just externally launching IE.

I have yet to play games on a console that one would normally find on steam. Now that they are available on the console, I assumed steam would be the likely avenue one would take to obtain and play those games.

Yeah.... no, like he said, Steam is a PC app, and it would be pointless to have it on a console.

Well, not so much that it's pointless, but neither Sony nor Msoft are anywhere close to allowing Valve to get a foot in their market in that way. No way no how, crackers.
