New ways to make F1 and F2 different and CHALLENGING?

First time out of the vault
so i own all 3 pc titles. beaten them few times, loved them and still do. wanna pick them back up but want to know what people think are modern fun ways to go thru the game, char creation etc. are there enough thrown weapons to make it all the way thru?

 my favorite build was the slayer with fast shot and that perk that reduces your action point so i could use one of the melee weapons or fist weapons with 1 action point and kill everyone before they got close.

another question does action boy allow you to have more than 10 AP? or does it cap at 10 like power armor caps with strength?\

dont wanna make a powerhouse build but a fun and different build with a new purpose and desire to survive. thanks. throwing weapons are fun

like i said in my last post... my favorite was the melee. but otherwise i end up using energy weapons for the most part with a tiny bit of heavy weapons. i wish there was more flamer fuel because that is fun. i just run around being good mostly doing quests and when i get bored and have 2 hours to waste ill kill everyone in the hub or BOS while that hourglass spins. is that what you meant by "playstyles"? i havent done the "1 int" build and i dunno i might have played with 1 charisma but i dont remember. jinxed can be fun, but id like a whole format. i have done the shortcut to getting armor in f2... just wondering if anyone has anything creative to say that isnt boring. like trying to beat the game with 1 agility would just suck and not feel like a new experience.... OR WOULD IT???? hmmm....

Try small arm's like the 10mm pistol and the hunting rifle. I meant by play style (sry last post was a typo) have you played a Evil game or a Dumb game in1 or the pacifist game where you only fight at the point's like you have to like the end game.

what is evil game? just kill everyone? being forced to kill the whole town sucks because you cant get out of combat till everyone is dead. although i have done so. ive worked for gizmo but i want more or less a different build

im trying to find a way to play thats UNIQUE. if there is one. thats all. ive played the game thru many times over the 10 years just wondering if theres something obscure and different thats all. ive killed kids and played roles. ive been only fists, ive been just energy weapons, ive sat there and smoked deathclaws till im level 2X. i want the game to be HARDER by my stat choices but fun at the same time.

There is a limit to action point's some ware around 100, I used falchie 2 to do this I don't know if it is possible in a unedited game and I only did it to see what I can and can't do and I also found out the maximum carry weight is around 999lbs

okay so im starting with FO1 first and then moving to FO2. i think i just want to try a thrower with unarmed as only backup, refuse to train my gun skills. now i just need to know the stats associated with THROWING. does perception change the range and %hit on thrown objects or can i keep that stat low in trade for luck and agility? also is giving myself 1 luck going to make the game fun and harder?

and fast shot and one hander relate to throwing?

thanks.

ST & I think a little perception same gose for agility I don't like throwing weapon's in fallout, but I think Luck may have something to do with it.... If I am wrong please correct me.

well miniguns and rockets and energy weapons will ruin me. i used to like just wearing the robes with my slayer but he got cut in half all the time.

thats if i didnt kill everyone on the screen first.

Have you tried becoming a addict early in the game yet? That can have some interesting results in the game.

this is my proposed build for Fallout1.

ST 5
PE 8
EN 6
CH 1
IN 5
AG 9
LK 6

throwing sneak speech are tagged
one hander and fast shot traits.

what i will do:
every drug i can get ahold of.
kill anyone that wont make guards riot.
never read any books
never train my gun skills
never use a gun?
debating on melee weapons - maybe only knives
how about flame thrower? always fun.
not wear power armor
bad karma junky

i might have to run from supermutant packs

ideas? might i enjoy this fallout variant?
how can i tweak this some...?

Thats what i'm doing rigth now: a Jinxed Drugy named Stickhead Mark. Its alot of fun because the Jet gives you more AP in combat but when you go througth withdrwal its a bitch when your Preception and Streath Drops to 1 and you cant run or pick anything up.

This might be fun but since your Ch is already a 1 make your IN 1 as well and put your Str and luck up.

is IN=1 really fun? im sure there is a supplier somewhere i can buy grenades from and im going to need more than there are lying around....

Y'know... you haven't mentioned ever trying the brainy diplomat (tag speech, science, and repair or sneak, fight only those who attack unprovoked) or sneakthief (tag sneak, lockpick, and steal, try to avoid all possible engagements that will set off an alarm or get you noticed by anyone other than your target, sneak into the Military base or Enclave, end the game richer than God) approaches to the game. Since you've been playing since the games came out, I know that you've almost certainly tried them, but on the infinitessimal outside chance that you haven't, I'd like to very strongly reccomend them. ESPECIALLY playing FO1 as a diplomat.

If they're not your style, you can always take Tag! as a perk during the midgame and rocket one of your combat skills into the stratosphere.

*****
After Edit:

Another old favorite (which, again, I'll mention for posterity even though you've probably already tried it) would be to stat up a character so that their capabilities mirror yours as closely as possible, and then play through taking only the actions and conversation paths that you would if you were actually there.

I've once played with IN 1 and CH 1.
Try Klamath, talk with Torr, help guard Moo Moo's. Anyways, I didn't make it far with that build in F2, tho' it was fun. :D
