It's the month of November, and I'm guessing there is a whole bunch of you who were born on this month. In fact, pretty much the majority of people in modern society were born on November, even December. I have a theory, and that is a special day about 9 months before...


...Valentine's Day :wiggle:


That's right, you are the result of a moment of passion when 2 souls come together on that very special day. Sounds far fetched, but very plausible.

(Another situation that causes babies, what I heard, is during major blackouts. Some kindergartens had a huge influx of students during a certain year, and they traced those kid's birth dates to 9 months after a major blackout a few years back.)

What do you think? Am I right about this or is it just with people I know?
 
I think it's regional. Valentine's Day isn't celebrated everywhere in the world, you know.

The most "busy" month I know, related to people's birthdays, is September. Christmas and New Year's Eve tend to bring out the <strike>breast</strike> <strike>beast</strike> best in people, after all. :wink:

(Reminds me of a story of a girl I knew some years back. She is exactly 25 years and 9 months younger than her father. On her 25th birthday, I got a chance to meet her dad that day and I remember telling him "I know what you did on your 25th birthday". It took him a while to figure out what I meant. He was not amused.)
 
i seem to recall that birthrate goes up around July-September around here.

why? cold winters. :)
 
4/11 for me.

My aunt is the 14th, my little nephew was born on 9/11.

Yeah, I guess the season will be different with people from northern and southern hemispheres. But besides the seasons or special days, are there any other circumstances that cause births? I heard war times or tough times can cause more births, due to mankind's ingrained wiring to want to preserve their line.
 
My birthday was a few days ago. I have 6 friends that are November babies.

I just found out one of my friends mothers shaves her goods and has done so for the last 30 years.

Well, we would've remembered if you knew how to write dates properly. You meant to say 11/4 and 11/9, yes?

No jackass, that's how much of the world writes dates. The US and the countries that we've heavily influenced (generally former colonies) are the only ones who use the middle endian form. Next time use Wikipedia.

Yeah, June to September in Belgium. Cold winters, people cuddle together at the fire, you know...

Still, my best friend just had a baby last weekend, but had nothing to do with Valentine's day. Most of my friends quite ignore that, they think society-pushed events are denigrating to one's intellect.

And I fully agree.
