Ok, here's another one

Water Chip? Been There, Done That
Another sequel is in the works. Starship troopers 3. You can find info on it on www.starshiptroopers3.net.

Not to much info on that site as of yet about the story. I only hope it's better then the second one. Talk about a BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD movie.

At least Jolene Blalock has a role in it. And they do have dishy admirals. Just look at the photos of the cast.

Starshit trooper 2 was a steamy pile of shit...I still don't know how I made it through the hole flick. Seriously I never heard anyone saying they love it, never!

Starship Troopers 2 > Starship Troopers

Pretty much in the same way that Fallout 3 will p0wn FO/FO2.

Sequels are always better than the original. (Nietzsche)

They should've made a sequel to the Bible. That would have rocked so hard. (Ghandi)

As cheaply ass and slightly retarded as the second one was. I thought it was kinda fun. That one guy from Babylon 5 kicks so much ass. ^,,^

They did....

3 if you really want to get into things.

I liked Starship Troopers ,but it was so far removed from the novel that it pisses me off. I loved the mech suits in the book, but that didn't happen in the movie.

ST was an enjoyable gore movie by itself, but I hate how they raped the whole concept of Mobile Infantry and mocked the idea of state presented in book.

I wish someone made a real ST movie/game...

It's just... a collective writer's block, yeah that's it, all they need is to thaw John Wayne and get him to act and Hollywood will be tinsel town once more, and not re-run central.

The book was much better than the movie. As is usually the case.

Anyways, going into these flicks with an expectation beyond the visceral 'BOOBIES!' is the problem here.

Ya know, I hear this kind of stuff all the time, and I just don;t see the merit in it.
Is there some point in history that I somehow missed out on when all movies were good? As best as I can tell, it's ALWAYS been 98% crap. Good movies still come out all the time, just gotta find em, they tend to have a limited theatrical release these days. I can think of plenty of them off the top of my head that came out in the last few years: Perfume, No Country For Old Men, I <3 Huckabees, Children of Men, Lucky Number Slevin, Clerks 2, Paprika, 300, We are the Strange, etc

they did, the books in the series are called the Torah, the dead sea scrolls, the old testament, the new testament and the quran.

it was never the intention to film the book as it was.

i like both. (the book & the first movie, i mean)

though The Forever War is far better than Starship Troopers.

Paprika isn't Hollywood, it's Japanese, Children of men if I recall is Brit, (the one about the last man on earth dying and the first baby being born again after decades of sterility?) Clerks 2 is nothing special against the other Jay & Silent Bob movies, 300 I can't speak for, and I've never even heard of We are the Strange, Huckabees, No Country, or Perfume.

That leaves Slevin.
