In OXM's article that say that the "mutated sheep-dubbed Big Horners for their honkin' horns-smack of Fallout 3's irradiated bovines, the Brahmin, giving the returning gamers a fuzzy feeling of nostalgia."

Is it just me or does this say the Big Horners are just like Bethesda's Brahmin or I am just crazy?

All it says is that Big Horners are like the Brahmin in Fallout 3.
 
Can't blame them, they always need to speak about current products, not old ones.

Do you know, that in Russia and Belarus boxes with "Titanic" film have some sort of text on back side. It quite small, but you can read "from creators of Avatar" :mrgreen: :mrgreen:
 
Give them enough time (like 2-3 years) and everyone will think that Bethesda created the Fallout series.

I think that FNV is going to break a bit of that felling. People are getting in their minds again that Black Isle/Interplay actually are the guys who created the games.
 
As an Xbox gamer myself (who brought and enjoyed 3 on the 360, yet played 1 and 2 on the PC and enjoyed them) and somebody who occasionally buys the OXM magazine, the level of stupidity is embarrassing.
 
Did you notice that they'll rename new games, like old ones?

Why say Aliens vs Predator 3 when you can say Aliens vs Predator?

I have met people that thought World of Warcraft 3 was the first one...
 
They aren't really implying that Bethesda created the brahmin; they're just correctly assuming that their readers are mostly familiar with only Fallout 3. The sentence basically says "there is sheep that are kinda like the brahmin in Fallout 3, remember?"
 
Unlike the OXM UK one, the OXM US article is actually pretty good, with mentions of Black Isle and correctly identifying geckos as creatures from FO2. You're just nitpicking here.
 
I actually see people on other sites (GamePro.com Vomits in mouth) who actually say Fallout 3 is better then 1 and 2. I tell them they should give their oxygen to far more deserving people, like those who appreciate fallout 1 and 2. Also I tell them they finally made me a believer in eugenics (not really), but my level of irritation with their stupidity has to be gotten across some how.

It might have the opposite effect : if Obsidian pulls a New Vegas closer to the original FO1&2, casual console gamers might actually get the felling Obsidian raped and betrayed Bethesda's awesome l33t FO3 baby ! :twisted:

With what was done to "Fallout 3: Quest for daddy" that may not be a bad thing.

This would make me quite happy. I would love to see the Xbox fanboys freaking out that Obsidian ruined Fallout :).

I am sorry Reconite, but right now I would promote any action that drives these little console bastards who think the entire game industry should only service them, up the wall.

I am so sick and tired of hearing them mimic what Publisher PR departments and hired goons (game reporters/reviewers) tell them what they should think and what they should like, and how games should be, that I am glad when I hear them complain and whine when games aren't made especially for them.

That I have become so hateful has nothing to do with me being stuck in the past of whatever pre programmed insult the game industry has given the little console pricks.
I am hateful because a favorite hobby of mine is systematically being closed for me, with stupid gameplay, terrible storylines, awful sequels, and back stabbing DRM schemes.

Like I once said before, I have some money too.
Make something I would gladly buy.
