Pitch a TV show or Movie

In this thread pitch a TV show or Movie, give a synopsis, genre, and maybe a few visuals or actors you'd like to see.

My pitch is a 4 season television show about a recently discharged military man getting recruited into a small pmc outfit after the Gulf War via the 2nd main character. Starting out as an operator show eventually spiraling into a sort of neo-noir feel in the latter half.
The first season just establishes the characters and their relationships and showing the pmc slowly gain more notoriety (Should have an early Soldier of Fortune vibe) while also leaving breadcrumbs for an overarching plot.
The second season should be more of a character study on the 2 main characters with occasional insight into the supporting cast. All the while the US government via the CIA hire the pmc for a myriad of operations that are somehow connected (season 1 and 2 will take place mostly in Africa). The final episodes will involve a joint operation with black-ops on a warlord's compound ending in heavy casualties.
The third season will be the aftermath of the operation and the pmc after sustaining heavy losses has to temporarily shut down. The cast is sent to Los Angeles where they have a small office in the city. Life back home isn't calm for long as the characters are under surveillance and they must find out why which leads them to figure out that what the CIA had them do was clean up their mess and now are clearing out the rest of the board. The two main characters are then taken hostage.
The final season will start with an interrogation and introduction of the CIA agent tasked with cleaning this mess up, after getting beaten the two characters attempt to escape leading to the 2nd main character to be killed and setting the tone for this season. This is a sort of lake of fire for the surviving main character who slowly over the course of the season evades the men on his tail and discovers the office burned and everyone dead inside. With the exception of a supporting character who's tasked with getting the Mc's dead partner's family out of danger. The series concludes with a standoff with the CIA agent and the Mc, the result of which leaves the Agent dead and our boy gutshot, with everything he knows gone he shambles leaves the scene and goes down a lone road a la The Long Goodbye (1973) then the screen cuts to black.

John, recently discharged from the military after the Gulf War is recruited into the PMC by David, the 2nd main character. He is a bit of an asshole/loner who is estranged from his family (two sisters, a brother, a niece). An acquaintance with David prior to show and over time they become friends and he calms down. The final season is meant to punish him for his actions early on in the show where he is relatively dehumanized and cold-blooded, although he reforms in the 2nd season he still has to suffer for his actions. Thinking of Benicio Del Toro Way of The Gun era for the actor.

David, is a man who feels useless at home with his family (wife, 2 daughters, son) so after serving in the military has been working with a PMC to build something. Stoic but decent man who tries. Acts as a mentor to PMC life in the first season but after slides into the role of a partner as they are both explored fully. He is the guy who tries and finds the best solution and though he has hardened from war his heart is still pure which initially places him at odds with John. For the actor I would finger Pierce Brosnan Goldeneye era.

A prestige television adaption of The Illiad and then the Odyssey spanning multiple seasons. Unlike the film adaptation, the supernatural elements will be entirely embraced. Unusually for a "period" fantasy epic it'd also be vibrant in colour palette in both cinematography and costume design.

A Metal Gear Solid film that follows the formula of those cool "choreography-porn" modern action films like The Raid, John Wick, Extraction etc. For the story it'd likely be best to just adapt Snake Eater, but equally it would be cool to mix the storylines of the original MSX games about Snake infiltrating Outer Heaven.

So the idea of the show would be entirely based around internet forums like this one, but you would also see the people behind the avatar and their mundane life when they aren't shitposting. All of the internet drama would be portrayed as super serious dramatic shit when it's just a bunch of nerds sitting on the computer sperging out over niche fixations that they cannot speak about in everyday life due to almost everyone being reptilians from They Live.

Episode One - The Brony freaks out about the liberals while the rest of the forum points and laughs. We then get a peak into the Brony life in a scene that is too hot for TV.

Episode Two - A thread about Gamergate turns sour when the local autist begins to piss off the crowbar happy admin. Hilarity ensues when the rest of the forum is dragged into the lover spat. Meanwhile in real life Sander experiments with butt plugs.

I've been trying to think of an idea worth posting since I saw this and I think I've finally got one:

A well connected and wealthy (but publicly obscure) industrialist/foreign relations strategist is given his pick of the litter of prisoners throughout the western world and South America. He forms a team of elite criminals along the likes of Kevin Mitnick, mob bosses, banking/investment fraudsters (who were at least successful for a time and with large quantities manipulated), etc along side cherry picked elite uni grads and skilled defectors. Being both skilled and very compromised are prerequisites for admission. If your not smart and susceptible to having your arm bent you're never tapped to join. This includes the industrialist himself, but this is open to interpretation as to how he is compromised and if he volunteered it himself for the opportunity to manage this team. They have the tacit support of various agencies by proxy.

They are essentially a regime change think tank that employs various proxy forces themselves (cartels/terror cells/corrupt local militaries/militias) for handling any low intensity conflicts that may arise, or be necessary in their operations. Basically, a rogue/splinter intelligence group that has the unofficial approval of intelligence agency elites on the condition that plausible deniability is maintained and if they're caught, they're fucked. Even by their own nations.

They would specialize largely in regime change/destabilization via economic and digital means. Valuable intel/insights would be transferred to their indirect employers/directors as well. They would be allowed to keep a portion of certain spoils on top of what they're already paid (and promised by the end of their service). Gov/Corporate espionage is also on the menu for this group, as well as black mailing powerful people and organizations.

Maybe get the Game of Thrones dudes to help write it for an episodic show and have William Gibson and Aronofsky on as lead writers/creative consultants to bring the realism and to reign in the GoT dudes crazy drama shit tendencies.
Have Christoper Nolan, Dennis Villenue and Inarritu as directors and Emmanuel Lubezki as cinematographer.
Double Negative for effects.

Inspirations:
Deus Ex
Neuromancer
American Gods (The book, but without the whole gods part)
Twin Peaks
13 tzameti
Ex Machina
Ghost in the Shell
Aronofsky's PI
Hamlet
Riddick: Butcher Bay

I've had an idea for a TV show the last couple of years which is basically a weird sci fi, supernatural police show.

Season One
Two dimension jumping detectives solve supernatural cases. The male lead is the son of absolute evil, it is believed he will follow in his father path.
He has to stand in front of God to prove he is different.

Season Two
The Male Lead's identical twin is causing issues and it's up to the two detectives to stop him.
Season ends with the evil twin pretending to be his brother as his brother is left behind.

Season Three
Male lead has to get back to his partner. His identical twin sets his father free. Series ends with an episode that's set in our World as they find me to write an ending.

There you go

A contemplative documentary series centered around a different subject every series, the first season would focus on Gender, from its origins in the David Reimer case study and talk about John Money and his exploits. Then follow its portrayal and prevalence in academia and culture to today. So start with David Reimer having sex change surgery as a child and being forced to be in sexual positions with his brother and their eventual suicides to children like Desmond is amazing or Jazz Jennings and their portrayal in the media today. Throw in the history of the surgery and aftermath, a few studies and boom a new sensation sweeping the nation.

I had two ideas for series but I am not sure if they have that much episode potential.
Also think I was rather inspired by other fiction at the time.

The first show idea takes place in a contemporary Earth setting but in which a lot of supernatural elements are real. In this universe creatures from horror stories such as vampires, werewolves, zombies, ghosts and such are real but society and civilization has adapted to these.
Some of the supernatural creatures have even decided to integrate into human society, mostly those who have a human background such as vampires and werewolves and they are acknowledged by the law as citizens as long as they stick to the laws written for them.
Vampires for example while capable of feeding on humans and animals are by law forbidden to feed on humans. There are alternative sources of blood for them (vampires need blood to live but they don't solely depend on it) including human blood from blood banks and most vampires are in general fine living like this.
There are of course vampires who still feel that they should be apex predators and that they should prey on humans (we are the superior species and that sort of mindset). Not only are they targeted by human law enforcement but also vampires themselves (those who want to live in peace with humans), with vampires even have established vampire hunter guilds/groups or organizations to deal with these type of troublemakers.

Of course not every human likes the idea of living with supernatural beings or working with them so there are cities and even countries that are completely human for those who hate supernatural beings or fear them so much that they can only live in these type of places.

I did not actually described yet what the show is about. It is basically a police show in which one main character is a human police officer/detective and his colleague is a centuries old vampire that are part of the department of supernatural crimes.
From regular street crime to organize crime and organizations like dangerous cults.

The second idea is for a sci fi show that takes place an undetermined period in the future.
Several characters wake up onboard spacecraft in the middle of deep space. All of them remember being from the late 20th early 21st century but they have no idea how they got to be on this ship.
They soon meet the captain of the ship and their superior; an rather sadistic artificial intelligence called "One".
One has been send out by its builders and masters to undertake a series of missions and assignments for them for an unknown goal, and it has recruited the main characters to serve as its agents during these tasks.

Each of the main characters has implants in their bodies that help them to survive in various conditions, enhances their bodies' natural regeneration, and gives them a degree of immunity against diseases and poisons.
They also have implants in their brains through which One can download knowledge and new skills for the main characters to use.
But through these implants One also can monitor the main characters and punish them if necessary, killing them should they try to turn against One or try to escape.

As the main characters and One travel across the galaxy they visit various planets that are inhabited by humans whose civilizations are in various stages of developed; from pre industrial to interstellar spaceflight.
Almost none of them have heard of Earth or know anything about its inhabitants and cultures.

Some of the jobs One sends the main characters out to do is assist a scientist who is developed a new biological weapon that doesn't require DNA that can kill billions.
On another assignment the main characters have to help a planetary dictator and stop a rebellion that seeks to depose him.
Or they must track down an image or a photo and kill everyone who actually has seen what is on it.

The main characters of course do not agree with all these jobs, either not wanting to do them or do the opposite of what is expected of them, but because One can monitor their thoughts it is difficult for them to plan a resistance.
