Playing with no cd???

I want to put FO1 on another computer, I have been trying to find a cd crack so I can make a copy of mine, but I can't find one. Is it possible to run FO1 without the cd. OR-Can I just burn the cd and not worry about a crack to get it to work.

I run Fallout 2 without a CD in the drive and if I remember correctly I did the same when I played Fallout 1. Give it a try and let us know.

Fo1 runs without the cd if you have a full installation. For Fo2, the US version doesn't need the cd while the UK one does.

Tried last night, had to copy master.dat to fallout folder and change the .cfg file to not look at the CD. Must not have done the humongous install. Going by the fact that I'm not to good with programming, I can't believe it worked. Also, I looked at the manual install guide and it pretty much says it right there. I'm not sure if the way I did was the right way, but it worked. I changed the fallout.cfg to fallout.txt, edited the lines for sound and master.dat, then saved it back to fallout.cfg. And yes I backed up the files before doing this.
