ive recently purchased a new system and now fallout 2 wont install right, problem is this: it starts installing but when my cdromdrive is going for max speed(48x) it stops and wont continue until the drivespeed goes down again(and i think that the install would take LONG, i dont know cuase i couldnt take it anymore after a couple of HOURS), in short : is my cd romdrive going to fast?? is it a driver problem?? can anything be done???( i have the same prob with: quest for glory), is there maybe a setting in windowns that can change this ongoing misery???? if this sounds familair to you or you know how to solve this please reply cause im going berzerk over the idea that i wont be able to play fallout until 3 comes out( if it comes out that is.)

Im not sure if it works but try to change your CD-ROM-Cache-memory at the CD-ROM settings.
If not, perhaps your CPU-speed is too low for this fast CD-ROM, but Im not sure.

finally got it working, its seems the prob was the disk itself, i copied it and the copy works fine!!!!!!!, thanks anyway.
