RE: Sure, why not. It is my name, anyway :-)

I've probably asked this before, but what does APTYP stand for? And if it is a Russian acronym, please translate. :)

My friend is taking Russian so I asked him to ask his teacher what this meant:

ß - áîðîäàòàÿ ëåäè

It stands for Artur, that's probably why Smackrazor asked to call him Arthur

Sorry for answering but I'm bored.

I know he is/was Arthur, but I'm wondering what APTYP stands for. Hell, he used to call himself Arthur on the old board..

RE: It's Greek, if I can identify it correctly (nt)

Isn't APTYP arthur in cyrillic?

P=R and Y=U if i remember right

RE: It's Greek, if I can identify it correctly (nt)

Jim Bob is right. And about greek letters: Russian is pretty much a mix of Latin and Greek alphabets (mostly Latin), it's a work of 2 scribes-brothers, Cyril and Methodius (if I'm spelling their names correctly).

A while back I posted a message saying this. And everyone responded telling me everyone knew and it was so obvious.
