Radiation and stats

Hello.
I am running the current Fallout 2 Restoration project version 2.1.2b.
My first question would be if rad stat damage has been made permanent ?
In my current game i have 460 rads , lost 2 st, 2 en ,2 ag.
I used 3 rad-away , and ... nothing.
I rested for 4 days and still nothing.
I can use a editor to get rid of the stat penality , but i thought to ask here if there is a problem or this is the way it should work.

Rest for about three more days. Using the Radaway just lowers your rad count, it doesn't do anything with the current stat penalty.
