Rugby World Cup 2011

Water Chip? Been There, Done That
I have been waiting for this tournament in eager stead since the 2007 world cup. Still depressed off the defeat in the final the English recieved in France four years ago, i'm hoping at least for a semi-final finish. I know the English team is young, and will most likely not win, thus my expectations are lowered. So anyone else looking forward to the games of the RUFC World Cup 2011, and supporting specific teams?

Big fan of rugby here, and, obviously, will support France. As a matter of fact, it's highly probable we'll meet in quarterfinals (provided England beats Argentina, & France loses to New Zealand) and I think France will lose. Oh well. Still going to be a great competition.

Got a lil' scare here with Argentina ? ^^

Well done, playing them is always always a trap...

Yeah, for the majority of the game I was really worried, I understood Argentina would be a tricky game, but thankfully we pulled through. I hoped that England would play like France did against Japan, but Argentina is a lot more trickier than Japan. Japan played alright against France mind, i've noticed the smaller teams (Japan, Italy etc.) are getting a lot better lately.

Japan had 20 minutes of pure vista, and France responded very poorly. Our defence has been mediocre at best under the Lievremont era. I hope the next coach will put some discipline into the blue house.

In any case, if Japan is definitely a "small" team, I really do not think that Argentina is one as well. Trickster rugby, great foot game, strong ruck, they have world-class weapons.

Btw, I reckon it's the last WC for Johny ? I'm even surprised he's there at all...

I'm not saying Argentina is a small team, they are tricky. The reason for Japan being small for me, is that you don't hear as much about them as you would England, France, Argentina, New Zealand etc. And, yeah it's definitely Johnny's last world cup, shame really but the injuries throughout his career didn't help at all.
