Searching for a (maybe) rare adventure game

FeelTheRads

Vault Senior Citizen
So, I need help finding the title of an old and probably rare adventure game.

I remember playing it many years ago, but I can't remember the title for the life of me. The few things I can remember about it are that it wasn't a LucasArts adventure (that's for sure as I know every adventure they released) and probably it wasn't Sierra either (although it did kinda seem their style).
Also, I remember you were playing a guy and at some point you were in some movie studios, some other time you were in bed with two chicks... and that's about all I can recall. And the fact that it had a goofy, slapstick kind of humor.

Anyone knows what I'm talking about?

Edit: No, it's neither of the Larry games. Larry barely gets one chick, let alone two.

Edit2: Vault 13, I'm counting on you. You seem to know your way around old adventure games. Plus, I still haven't forgiven you for grabbing that Arcanum. Here's your chance to make things right. :P

Hmmm..you seem to be much more informed then me about adventure games .Don't think i can help you here !
But you might give us a bit more information about the game :
How did the guy look like ?
Were did the game take place ?
Was the style Cartoonish or ...

More details. What were the graphics like?
What did the hero look like?

Anything you can remember would help.

Based on what you post, the only games I can think of are Rex Nebular & The Cosmic Gender Bender and Flight Of The Amazon Queen.

If neither of them is what you're looking for, at least tell us if they're close calls or not.

Forget about the adventure ,start playing chronomaster if you haven't tried it before !
I can garantue you it will make you forget about the adventure game you are looking for right now !

Pally we need more details to go on than that. Everything we suggest will be a wild stab in the dark... Roger Wilco?

Pfff... if only my memories weren't so faded by time.

Everything we suggest will be a wild stab in the dark... Roger Wilco

Space Quest you mean? No way. It was taking place in some American city...

Maybe the Duckman adventure game?

Ehm... no. The dude looked like a... dude, not like a duck.

Rex Nebular & The Cosmic Gender Bender and Flight Of The Amazon Queen.

Nope.

More details. What were the graphics like?

Not really cartoonish. Quality wise I'd put them around 1995-1996... pixelated, but striving for realism. Not a FMV game, though and it wasn't first person.
I guess Flight Of The Amazon Queen is close when talking about graphics.

Thanks for the answers so far. If I remember anything else I'll spew it out.

broken sword or beneath a steel sky?

not many chicks (well broken sword.. but not really that way) involved though

add: just reread your initial post. broken sword is a bit too serious for slapstick I guess.

add: I just found one of the best sites in months. At least for me:

http://www.adventuregamers.com

It contains reviews with screenshots of a scawitsload of adventure games

just a sidenote and no intention to hijack the thread, but I've always wanted to play The neverhood since I played a demo way, way back. Seems like an awesome game.

... It would help if we knew what video game console you've been playing with? or maybe it's a computer? 'Cause there are several thousands video games which have been released since the mid 90's 'till nowadays...

Actually, in Love for Sail he gets the hot mom and her daughter ("Nailmi" and "Wydoncha Jugg") in the pool.

Thank you so much for that link!

Also, yes, Neverhood is definitely worth playing through. I love it's nihilistic atmosphere and unique brand of humour.

It's on the list, baby!

Nope, no Revolution game either.

Ahem... not many pure adventures released for consoles apart from those that were on PC too. And even those are only a few.
Either way, it's a DOS game, that's for sure.
I've grown on PC, baby! Well, and on a pretty good Chinese NES clone. Not the cheap shit you find nowadays.

Not in the pool and you can't say he really gets them. Luck is rarely on his side.

OK, one more thing about the game I'm looking for. I'm pretty sure it won't help, but well...

At some point, in one of those movies studios, you stab (I think) a monster, which then proceeds to unzip himself and you find out it was only a guy in a costume.

Big help, eh?
