There are these two people I know who are 'together'. They've never met, Only talked online and on the phone for about 5 months or so and they consider themselves soulmates.
The guy sent the girl a picture when they first started talking, He looked like your average guy. Wasn't extremely handsome, or ugly. Just...average.
The girl also sent him a picture when they first started talking. She was pretty hot, and the picture was very 'well taken'.. I thought it was fake.
Today at 1:24 PM (my time) I was um, "Browsing" at some "pornographic material" when I stumbled upon a set of pictures, It was "Her". I was right, It was fake. She ganked it from the internet and told the guy it was her. Now..This guy loves someone that doesn't exsist. Someone that must be pretty hidious and has been lying to him for months. (Not that looks matter to me, but lying does.)
What should I do?
Let him go on being crazy about her and wondering why they can't meet? And when they do eventually, finding out it wasn't her?
Or tell him she's a lying bitch and break his heart and give him the proof?

1...If you found the photo, it doesn't mean that it's that girl. It could be a coinsidence (things like that should be taken seriously), or she could be a porno model (believe it or not, it is theoreticaly possible).

2...Don't jump on your friend saying: "Your girl is a lying bitch!!!" Show him the photo, tell him that this requires some answers from that girl. Tell him to make accent on "Why did you lie to me" rather than "You lied to me, witch!" She could make up the photo because she's overly concerned with her look, and it doesn't necessarily means that she is hideous. On the other hand, 'she' could also be 'he', so watch out, and...

3...above all - keep a cool and clear head, you and your friend. It's easy to make tons of shit, but it's not easy to clean it up.

Indeed. One of my old high-school buddies found this out the hard way. The girl was indeed into adult films and online adult galleries. He thought she was bsing him until they actually met. Blew his mind! Now they are happily married, and it turned into some sort of family joke of how they got together. Be careful, as chances are, it might not go anywhere as smoothly.

NO!! Bad advice. Give your friend the facts, have him talk about it to the girl, and kindly ask for an explanation. Do NOT imply lying, instead ask for an explanation. Who knows, she could actually be that girl. This will save a lot of heartache and grief at a later time.

That's why you ask her to scan in a photo of herself holding a sign with the current date.

Just establish that you want to see the real "her" and don't care about looks.

I would be rolling on the floor if you found out it was actually a guy..

I say mail the pic to him, that way he'll see it even if he doesn't wanna. Beat it into him.
