I'm definitely waiting till the old-schoolers *here* post their opinions before dropping one more cent on this now-mediocre franchise.
Why not make your own opinion?

Because I don't "do" warez.
(I don't actually have a problem with cracking games I've paid for, but as a professional programmer and amateur musician it seems like very bad karma to steal IP! I'm afraid I'll end up with the "Pirate" trait and have game developers throw rocks at me everywhere I go.)

I know they don't really care about my $70, but money is tight these days and that's like two 5-string sets of Sadowsky bright nickels. You know?

But these screen shots are actually giving me cautious optimism. Of course, the proof is in the pudding, where in this case pudding = dialog and level design. :)

Don't forget there are also developers and musicians (some of them who make some money, radiohead or NIN) who have alternative views on IP so-called "stealing".

Also, you said you won't buy it before hearing good feedback, so if the game is bad they won't get your 70$ anyway.
On the other hand, the game is good and you have such a good karma, what would prevent you from giving them their 70$ after you warez-tested it ?

Oh, and I suppose you could also borrow it to a friend. But you don't *do* that, do you ?

That super mutants look closer to the ones in Fallout 1/2. This pagecontains good info on Super Mutants' original looks. They shouldn't be that muscular (that muscular concept drawing is from Fallout Tactics) and they should look more bent. Their body looks way harder than the Fallout 1/2 mutants'. In Fallout 1/2, mutants were feeling differently - imagine a super mutant being melted down from plasma crit and you'll know what do I mean. Or maybe this wasn't intended.

Anyway, better that Fallout 3's mutants.

Doesen't look that much like the Fo2 M60...

You're right. That's why I said it had wood furniture like the Fo2 M-60. The smaller barrel to forearm grip ratio, as well as the shape of the forearm grip with the integrated heat shield is all M-60; the BAR has a longer barrel and gas tube, but the forearm grip is very small by comparison and has no heat shield that masks the top of the firing chamber and some of the barrel. The carrying handle is also pretty much dead for the M-60. That FoT version of the 60 is a bit closer to how it looks in the real world, but it lacks the carrying handle. Most standard RW 60's have bi-pod legs, as they are mounted directly to the barrel (making barrel changes difficult when firing from the bi-pod). IRL M-60's weren't produced with wood furniture (that I've ever seen or read about), which is why the Fo2 60 is so unique. The Fo2 60 is also very cartoony and blocky (poor work by the artist, sadly), and really only has a passing resemblance to the actual wepon.

That sounds like an offer! :)
