Skyrim Dawnguard DLC

i dont get it.

the PS3 is a more powerful platform than even the 360 elite.

yet bethesda cant overcome performance issues?

that would be a "lie". the correct term would be "optimized" or else "programed to run on".

TL;DR

bethesda blames sony platform because their engine wont run worth a damn on more powerful hardware and they are too incompetent to fix it.

well they did it with Skyrim no? So it should be possible. Its rather a "sorry, we don't think we can make enough money with the PS3 players, sorry!".

I guess Sonny simply doesn't kiss Beths ass as much like Microsoft.

The PS3 has shared memory pools - 256 MB for system memory and 256 MB for graphics. The Xbox 360 has 512 MB you can allocate anywhere. This means that with the PS3 you are effectively stuck with using X resources for Y task, and if you need some more memory, you can't just take it from the other pool. Theoretically the PS3 is more powerful, it just requires incredible amounts of optimization work, and an effort to build the right games specifically for the hardware.

As far as I know you can, but since it's splitted it's still more limited.

Didn't you see the mess that was the PS3 version? Vanilla PS3 Skyrim ran worse than PS3 New Vegas.

They are aware that releasing DLCs will make it run even worse since they aren't able to fix the problems of their POS engine.
