As in the title, I've just received an invitation and am downloading the client (about 4 gigs). Does anyone have some more specific info (aside from the stuff at the main website of course) or\and can say\guess if it's worth the effort?

That unfortunately is a pretty common story. In many cases, the game is just a front to attract investors, suck them dry, close up shop and start all over again somewhere else.
