Surprised no one has posted anything about it yet. Sony had their pre-E3 press conference yesterday and announced most of the information for the Playstation 3.
As most of you know, the system will support blue ray discs. It also offers a basic online service that includes an iTune style music download system and what sounded like a system to purchase playstation games to download to the PSP.
The games all looked shiny and the controller, in an ode to Nintendo, was redesigned to have some motion sensitivity.

The kicker of course is the price tag. Americans are looking at $499 for a version with a 20 GB hard drive, $599 for a version with a 60GB hard drive. In Japan, the 20GB will be 59,800 yen, the 60GB will be sold at whatever price retailers want. And Europe, getting the shaft as usual, is looking at 499 euros and 599 euros respectively.
What do you guys think of that (besides the usual consoles suck, blehhh!)?
