Is there any way to escape without Mr Bishop shooting at you after you've shagged his wife?

Yep. After you'll open the door to Bishop's office, use sneak and keeping close to the wall evacuate from there. Other way is to enter combat mode and run to the stairs. The best way is to take a job from Bishop. Then he doesn't care if you sleep with Leslie or not.

With good speech you can talk him out of it though he'll for the assassination of Westong job onto you (regardless of wether you have the case or not).

This can be interesting if you opened the case and screwed up that quest, but I only managed to do this once and don't know the full requirements to acheive that.

So well, otherwise, sneak, or like I do, RUN. I've had more luck with running directly to the stairs then with sneaking personally.

be carefull when talking to bishop after you do sleep w/ his wife... once i got into a dialogue that initiated when i came from mrs. bishop's room where all i could do was insult bishop and then he shoots me. i think it happens when you sleep w/ his wife excessivly but im not sure.

Well, I think the game checks for sneak or something when you enter Bishops office (where he has his henchmen) because sometimes I just run/walk/sneak past him without any trouble and sometimes he just starts conversation with me even though I am sneaking or 2 steps from the stairs. My solution is to do all the quests related to Bishop...sleep with his wife; sleep with his daughter; sneak past him; get back my brute squad and have a talk with him directly. This usually ends up with the girls waking up a few days later and wondering where the HELL is everyone.

Or you tell the guards ath the bottom of the stairs that you've got a briefcase from moore, and then before going upstairs you sleep with his wife.
