Briosafreak reported that Fallout Tactics is being given out as a free gift on this month's edition of the Portuguese magazine BGamer, on the cover DVD, so it's a chance for all the Portugese fans to familiarise themselves with Tactics at a low cost. The game is not localised (English version).

While this is good... wouldnt F1&2 also fit on there and be a bit better to just throw them all together?

Also dosent this mean Interplay is getting a little cut of cheese for this "free" thing they are including? Mabey a small jolt of money for them?

And finaly, is this magazine aviliable in the us? I collect games, not normaly from magazines but would make any exception for a Fallout related title and would love a copy :D

I would replay FO:T again if they release something to fix the memory leak problem. Even with my modern rig this game still has sluggish performance. :(

I hear that. Anoys the hell outa me. There is that program someone made called "Fallout Tactics Booster" or sompthing along that line, it helps a little. But thats about it sadly.

Both Fallots were covermounts earlier, in 1999 and 2000. Fallout2 has been rereleased in December, in a new budget version (costs 8.99 or 9.99, depends on the store). It's the fifth or sith edition by now.

And Silencer "En" is Spanish, not Portuguese, the correct spelling would be "em", we're going to get you for that

The mag does get exported for some specialised stores abroad, but the best way to get it is through the net, on carbon mags retail e-stores.

Both Fallouts were out in Brazil under the same conditions, just substitute 10€ for R$15, but this was like 2 years ago...

Hehe. Just go to the store, remove the disc from the magazine, put it in your pocket, put the magazine back and buy some chewing gum on the way out.
Always worked for me when I was young.

I guess they didn't have video cameras back then.

I remember the introduction of inexpensive hidden surveilance cameras. It's when I failed stealing porn mags for the first time.

Curse you, hidden surveilance cameras! Curse you!

I'm talking about the early nineties, man. So yeah, there were video cameras in stores back then, but not that much. One had to choose the right stores.
And I didn't steal software, but music. The free tapes that came with NME and Melody Maker and VOX and so on.
I also nicked a lot of poetry books back then. Poetry books are kinda sorta thin, and they fitted perfectly in the pockets of my coat back then.
For porn I went to this second hand bookstore in Ostend that couldn't afford cameras. They had a whole section dedicated to second hand porn mags. One had to be very carefull not to steal anything that was glued together, though. I still have some porn mags from the seventies which I stole there. I hid them under my shirt, and I always bought something else so they wouldn't suspect anything and so I wouldn't feel bad.

:look:

Uhm... back on topic:
Fallout2 has been rereleased in December, in a new budget version (costs 8.99 or 9.99, depends on the store). It's the fifth or sith edition by now.

Is that December 2005? Is it available in Europe? (One can never have enough copies of FO or FO2...)

Aye, speaking of which, I saw Fallout in a major book/music/games store yesterday, for a very low price. For anybody from Poland: the Empik stores are selling it again.

Fallout 1 & 2 Were available for £1 in Bolton Recently. They had at least 50-60 copies. After seeing it i thought Fallout had been abandoned altogether.

It was Pound Empire in Bolton.

I got FO1,2 and tactics for about £12 a couple of years ago in a box set.

Interesting the way this news topic has headed....

Was that the Radioactive box set? I paid £25 for that just for Fallout, a couple of weeks later they rereleased Fallout as an individual budget title for a fiver.
