Just came across a little gem that might become something;
The Book of Unwritten tales

It's a point and click adventure game with stunning art direction. This little bit was stolen from another forum;

We, the small game studio KING Art, are currently working on our first big commercial project: Book of Unwritten Tales. It's going to be a classic 2.5D adventure game in the tradition of games like Simon the Sorcerer, Monkey Island or Discworld but with (hopefully) state of the art presentation. It's planned to be released in early 2009.

Their site is flash and I don't really feel like printscreening so do check it out. It contains some pretty neat stuff.

Yeah, the art looks nice. That funny pink creature is my favourite.

Long time since I've played a good point-and-click adventure now that I come to think of it. In fact, I think Blade Runner was the last one and for some strange reason I can't seem to find my copy anywhere. I betcha one of my exes took it with her when I threw her out of my casa.

Hmm, this looks promising. At least visually. And the P'n'C adventure genre is in dire need of a revival.

I like it, very fairy tale feeling, I get a good sense of it here. Can't read german. Can anyone translate what the premise of this game is all about?

Hmmm let's see; A gremlin archaeologist finds an powerful artifact... it's a turbulent point and click RPG. It has humour and multi character game play. There's a vegetarian Dragon and a senile mummy. It's based on the Ogre 3d engine and it's not DX10 dependent.

That's what I managed to translate.

shoot me if im wrong but the technik page points are the following in english:

2d background with 3d charecters

3d charecters and animation with volumetric lighting.

full set of animation with emotes, anger, friend...

someones particle system for special effects

max resolution of 1920x1200 ( shoulda been easy for anyone tho ) with optional ?

my german has never been that good, but thats the best i can do without a translator.
