What I'm asking you is did you like the colours?

Should I go on colouring my future artworks or will it be better to leave them black'n'white?

BTW is that crayon ? dont very like crayon but you'd go on colouring , im pretty damn sure they are better looking than "black'n'white" , much better

Yeah, shadowing would add an awesome touch...

As for colours, it is quite good considering fairly bright colours were used for it, and it can be difficult to use those brighter colours to create a decent drawing... But nonetheless, a great picture, but your black and white pics are still better IMO...
 
I like your black&white stuff better. In any case, the colouring is very poorly done in this new drawing of yours.

You know what you should do? Ink your pencils. That's right. Buy yourself a good brush or a decent pen nib and start inking your pencil drawings. Just black&white, that'll be just fine.

If I use colours, I just scan my inked drawings and colour them in Paint or Paint Shop Pro. The limited palette of Paint is actually a blessing, me thinks. Too much different colours = teh chaos. And you don't want teh chaos.
 
I've a question about the idea (not the execution, which is OK, B&W were better, but I'm sure it's a matter of practice) - is he supposed to be dead or something, 'cause I don't really understand the point of what he's saying.

With only two shots, one of which is in the shoulder, and the other in the chest (way above heart, at least IMO)? Well, excuse my french, but what a pussy. Unless, of course, the shot in the chest is with some fire- or super-penetrating-and-rotating rounds and has made/is making a blody mesh of his lungs below the armor.

I thought this was a fan art for a game... a game where even several bursts from a machine gun at point-blank range don't really kill you if you have a good armor (BOS had the best, IIRC) and enough hitpoints...

Is that a bird's eye view? You could use more blood. Where did all the blood go? It couldn't have ALL sunk into the sand...
 
Well, considering there are several bullet dents in the armor as well I'd say the blood-filled holes were critical hits.

That would make sense in the game context as well.

Besides, consider the Overseer's death scene: super-resistant characters can die from a single hit if the cut-scene demands it.

Granted, he was not in his seat but the mutant cut-scene pretty much showed that that seat is not equivalent with invulnerability.
 
I think it's very good, but I like your B&W drawings better.

I don't like the FOT metal armour though, what the heck is with the buckler?
 
Yeah, I saw the buckler there too and thought it as weird...

But yeah, more blood may enhance the pic, but too much would just make it look ridiculous.
 
Wow. I did not expect such a vivid discussion of my humble artwork! I'm touched, guys, thank you very much!

I knew, I knew it from the very beginning, dammit! Crayons *suck*! Why, oh why did I pick up that idea?! My next coloured artwork (don't expect it to be coming soon) will be digitally coloured. That will be my only salvation.

Blood. It's damn difficult to draw realistic-looking blood. Especially on bulging metal surfaces. But it's even harder when you can't find proper colours.

But I've got one good explanation. As the metal back-plate is concave and lies on the ground, the blood accumulated there and didn't leak out.
