There Will Be Blood

dunno the Blood thing, but the No Country For Old Men is pretty 'meh'. it's incoherent and even kinda sucky. i dont see what people get hyped out over... except about the book it came from ofc.
 
I didn't like No Country that much either, but TWBB was great. Daniel Day-Lewis acted extremely well. Can't say the same for Paul Dano but whatever. The milkshake scene at the end was seriously epic.

I really enjoyed No Country For Old Men. True, the unexpected ending was partly lost due to Tommy's slurred voice and it wasn't that much of an apropos ending to such a movie either, but what I really liked about the movie was the slow-moving, character-driven plot. I was really caught by that Chigurh fellow. Clearly an actor with a lot of potential.
 
There Will Be Blood...I thought it was a bad horror movie, from the title, and avoided seeing it for a little while. A few hours ago, though, I saw it and I really liked it. The movie was great, it had powerful visuals, a nice script, a driving score, and some awesome acting by Daniel Day-Lewis. Paul Dano was ok, I liked him when he was a little bit calmer, or less violently emotive (what with the Satan expelling and all), particularly in the last scene.

I loved the secondary characters in the movie, like Daniel's assistant, H.W.'s translator, Paul (Eli's brother who you see in one scene and is midly confusing), and Abel.
 
I was referring to being an potential actor as of Hollywood nature. Surely, Javier Bardem is a well-know actor for his roles in Spanish movies, but I reckon that he deserves more international recognition.
 
Goddamn this movie rocks. See it as soon and as often as you can. It is better then Boogie Nights, which also rocked.
