Tough Crowd cancelled.

So Old I'm Losing Radiation Signs
For the last two years, Comedy Central has been airing Tough Crowd after the Daily show, where Colin Quinn and other comedians (usually a group of his regular friends) make jokes about politics.

Though many episodes were hit or miss, and most of the guests had no idea what they were talking about, it was still increadibly entertaining. Seeing Colin interact with his friends every week on a forum felt familiar, since it mirrored how me and my friends talk politics, by insulting each other and cracking jokes.

The show also served as a showcase for lesser known comedians. If it weren't for Colin's show I would've never heard of comics like Jim David, Judy Gold, Patrice Williams, Nick DiPaolo, Greg Giraldo, or Jim Norton.

And now its cancelled. Which is dissapointing, since it was probably the most original show on television, and the only "real" reality show, since as Patrice said, "They know it's real." And it was real. It was a group of friends interacting in a familiar environment, and it doesn't get any more real than that.

Was anybody else a fan of the show? If you didn't care for it, why not?

I liked it. Colin Quinn is t3h secksay. It also did feel real, especially when they didn't know what they're talking about. However there was only so much I could stand before I got annoyed and turned it off.

My friend really likes Tough Crowd, and got me into it, even though I only saw maybe... 10 episodes. I enjoyeda lot of it, but you are right, most of the shows were hit or miss. I guess being unscripted, a lot of viewers got turned off when they really didn't have much to talk about. Sad that it had to go, though.

I watched it all the time up until I went to college. Jim Norton and Greg Giraldo were my favorites, though Colin himself annoyed the hell out of me.

Did they get a last episode, by the way?

The last episode aired last night. It was funny, though the ending was severely depressing.

This is the first I've heard of Tough Crowd's demise. I liked it, but it's true, most of the episodes were love 'em-or-hate 'em. While I'm not quite as sad to see it gone as other shows, it was nice to have a couple of contrasting viewpoints (The Daily Show being a bit more liberal and Tough Crowd being less so).
