Sonny, I Watched the Vault Bein' Built!
I have been receiving warnings from my virus scanner (AVG) every night at 2:00 AM. When I try to remove the threat I get the message: "Action interrupted by user."

I have tried googling but I couldn't find any useful information.
Any advice/ help would be greatly appreciated. :|

AVG won't cut it for big proper viruses and malware. You'd need some other scanner thing.

Adding additional virus scanners sometimes horribly slows down a computer, is there any way to prevent that when you have more than one virus scanner?

Also, what do you recommend for anti spyware programs?

I use Microsoft Security Essentials. I've yet to have any problems with it. Unlike other software. Surprisingly, considering Microsoft's awesomeness at not being the best.

I've used Avast antivirus and Spybot Search & Destroy together for a few years now on Windows operating systems. Currently running both with Windows 7's own defender system. Nothing gets through, ever. Even better, they all three play nice together.

I used Avast for a bit on a netbook I have. Didn't have problem with it, before I switched to MSE.

So X1 or +1, or whatever.

And now to the more interesting topic, what do you stain your cells with and why?

Beware of those evil malwares pretending to be anti-virus software, don’t click on any of the buttons otherwise you’ll be sorry. I was kicked in the balls by one, and ended up reformatting my drive. :irked:

Malwarebytes is also a good anti-malware (duh) app.
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is teh shit, especially for clueless users. Does a very good job with very little input.

Avast gives me false positives with some older games and when they fucked it up and it detected half of the .exes and .dlls on my computer as viruses, I was a little pissed.

Seconded

Also Dr Web is probably the greatest, not too invasive (like Combofix) tool, suggest to try it out and give your system a full scan

You still haven't explained why you have fluorescent glia on your desktop, damn you!
