Wasteland's 2 kickstarter may possibly go live in 2-3 weeks

WorstUsernameEver

But best title ever!
inXile's Brian Fargo has recently tweeted on the estimated timeframe for Wasteland 2's actual Kickstarter crowdfunding to start, and, assuming it all goes well, it doesn't look like it will take too much:
@BrianFargo I just started playing Wasteland again a bit ago. And now I hear about this! Any idea when the kickstarter page will be live?

@JonasCalhoun We hope to get it live in the next 2-3 weeks. We are thinking through the tiers and making a video.

I hope, I hope, I hope there will be a mac version.

This shit keeps getting better and better! If this fails I will be pissed. :notworthy:

I am really curious how much money will they ask for.

And I really really hope all gaming sites will cover it.

Tim Schafer, then Avellone, then Chris Jones says he's considering a Kickstarter project for a new Tex Murphy adventure game, and now Fargo...and who knows what's next.

I might have to sell a kidney on ebay or something just to raise the cash.

Yeah, which is both a good and a bad thing, there seems to be a risk of saturation with all these projects at the same time. Fargo at least seems to be in a relatively good position, he's raising awareness by linking Wasteland as strongly as possible to Fallout, and will most likely be the first one to start a Kickstarter after Double Fine.

I hope he raises enough, although with the current market and whatnot, you can't really expect a lot of people to have heard of Wasteland.

What else are we supposed to jagg off to? HhhmmMMM?
I can't wait to see what video they whip up. Three weeks seems a bit short to get even an alpha game engine going. Hopefully it's good enough to catch the attention of the unaware people on media websites. Double Fine got to the front page on reddit, which undoubtedly helped since reddit is chuck-full of cat loving, jail-bait seeking, video gamer hippies. :)
