Anyone here much into that fantasy series? Coz i need some help.

I started off good with it, my library had all the books, but then, one day, the library closed, for good. :( I was left out in the middle of the series, and that was a long time ago.. but i found another library which has all the books :D. Till now, i've forgotten on which book i finished my reading, and i dont wanna go and check out all the books, because i could grab the wrong one and spoil the story for myself.

The one i finished on ended up with Rand breaking one of the Forsaken's connection with Shai'tan (i think it was Asmodean?), and took him along so he could teach him about his magic, so he wouldnt be driven insane. That was after he visited that weird city in the desert. Anyone could tell me the title of the book so i can pick up from it? :)

that was book 4 "the shadow rising" when he was in the waste @ Rhuidean, the next one is "the fires of heaven" (orbit books ISBN 1 85723 209 7)

Isn't Robert Jordan like dieing? There not the greatest books in the world but it would be a bit of a pain if he never finnished the last one after my person reading all 10k pages of the stuff

yeah dude he's really sick, and if he doesn't finish that shit off i am going to be one pissed off mother, started reading that series back in '91 and expected it to end as a trilogy...

i think he's just trying to go toe-to-toe with raymond e feist with the riftwar series

again i feel slightly dirty and wish i had never read the first book, then maybe i wouldn't have spent half my life waiting for the damn series to end.

Christ, Wheel of Time is complete garbage. It gets to flowery, tries to be poetic, spends 2 pages describing a tree and the characters are all boring. Not to mention the terrible dialogue and the long boring pages which are about nothing.

Ye? Funny, through 4 full books i never noticed any of the mentioned above : D matter of taste, i suppose.

i gets a bit long winded in the latter books, he just got bogged down with side plots that took ages to finish, but still i liked it in my youth, i just wish he would finish it.

Agreed for large chunks of it. The last book is pretty good, stuff actually happens. Book ten is dreadful, you could quite literally remove it from the series and the plot would not be affected...
