I'm a bit confused that over a million people watched this gent's videos and thought to themselves. "Oh this is interesting, I sure would like to hear more of the gentleman's ideas and theories".

Though mayhap they're looking for comedy in which case I can understand that.
 
It's Alex Jones. He's pretty much the most famous conspiracy nut and all-around lunatic. I have no idea why he has so many fans, but then again, you can look at how stupid the average person and then think about how half of the world is even dumber than that (if you now think "Hey, who says that the distribution is symmetric so that the left side of the median is exactly half", congratulations, you've been paying attention somewhere).

It very annyounys me how people go for believing in stupid things like everyone is lizards or something ridiculous when there are defiantly things the US and British government cover up for example ;

I find it ridiculous that so many people on this planet believe that a bearded caucasian man lives in the clouds and sees everything everyone does at all times and that there is a big evil red being/thing with a forked tail and a pitchfork in the centre of the planet. And if you don't follow the rules of one, you're doomed to eternity with the other. LOL, The Holey Bible.

To me that is more insane than thinking that the Clinton Foundation is a network of global child-eating paedophiles.

He's in a lot of video games under various pseudonyms. He was the basis for the hippie The Truth in San Andreas and Lazarus in Deus Ex: Human Revolution/Mankind Divided.

He's a fucking but but a harmless one.

Wouldn't exactly call him "harmless"... I mean, him being a scammer is bad enough, but he fuels people's psychological disorders and drives them further away from sanity and rational thought.

It depends on whether you think he's sincere or not. I do. I think he's got a bunch of utterly deranged beliefs about the world but I don't think that's necessarily an automatically bad thing.

So do a lot of people.

Having worked with the mentally ill, paranoia isn't something which needs Alex Jones to fuel it as it manifests regardless.
 
Still, people like Alex Jones accelerate the descend of people like Oscar Ortega-Hernandez, believing that some people are the Antichrist and shit like that. Do we really need to give them such a large stage?

Well, that gets into the fact that Alex Jones is listened to by a large number of people who find him entertaining but don't believe his shit as well as a small core of followers who really are paranoid wackjobs. He's not a comedian or entertainer, though, but an actual nutjob so it's probably wrong that he gets the attention he does. However, the fact is he's just exercising his freedom of speech. It's just that he has such a large forum because his ludicirousness is something people like to hear.

Honestly, if I was going to restrict the free speech of others, I'd start with a lot more believable but misleading propaganda.

conspiracy theories are fun. but only in a dude, bro, what-if sense. what if the government is controlling the population's intelligence with school lunches and that's why everyone is dumb and private schools and college costs so much?
