Winchester P94 is back, baby.

I'm sure you all remember this bad boy:

Well, it's back, baby.
Plasma_casta_demo.png

Known now as the "Plasma Caster", it is now most likely a heavy weapons-class plasma weapon, instead of the Plasma Rifle from the first two games. According to the Vault, it requires a min. Strength of 8, so it's gonna be very heavy if this is the case. I can see why they brought it back, first it's a badass gun, second, you have the laser pistol, rifle, and gatling laser, one pistol, one rifle, and one big gun, so I suppose the designers are mimicking this pattern by adding in the Plasma Caster.

Awesome. My favorite weapon in all of Fallout looks sexy as hell.

Another reason to buy New Vegas.

I like how the screenshot says it's from Bethesda.

But awesome. I am curious about one thing though. How do you aim that cocksucker? I've always been confused about that.

It is only energy-class weapon, as the skills are reordered into firearms, energy and explosives.

Aim? Ahahahahaha! Like it needs aiming!

Are you kidding me? No more big guns?

No, this is known since some time (and I personally don't have a problem with that for now).

I mean, it sounds convenient, but I loved how the games made you invest in all of the weapons skills, now that they took that away it seems now that it'll be much easier. If I have a high Firearms or whatever skill, I can just pick up a minigun now. I want to work for that minigun...

You still need to invest skill points in all weapons if you want to use something that fires ammo diffrent from conventional bullets.

They reworked the skills and some weapons/availability so that if you want to tag Energy weapons or explosives and NOT use firearms you can do so from the get-go, with lower grade, non ridiculous guns. Seriously, if tagged Big Guns in Fallout, how long did it take you to get your hands on a minigun? You'd essentially be wasting skill points for part of the game until you got that minigun; nobody wants to do that.

You'll still have to work for your minigun in that you won't be able to just go and get one right away and you're still going to have to find a whole lot of bullets to shoot.

I'm actually really keen on the change and like the way it's been ordered.

Obviously not, from what I'm hearing. The only exception is energy weapons, however big guns and small guns are fused now into one skill.

No, they aren't. Big guns was taken apart and it was worked so that;

1) IF it shoots bullets it's a firearm
2) If it shoots deathlasers it's an energy weapon
3) If it goes BOOM it's an explosive.

What if the laser ends with an explosion? :smug:

Then it isn't Deathlasers, isn't it? It's lasersthatcauesdeathBOOMS.

Unpossible, lasers just burn a targeted area, unless the area it was targeting is combustible.

Yes but this is Fallout 3, where a rail gun shoots a blue explosion and nukes can have a 10 foot damage radius. :V

The Gauss Rifle in the DLC Operation Anchorage. Instead of firing a hyper velocity projectile through someone it fires something that explodes in a blue cloud sending people flying.
It's also bugged so it sometimes goes right through enemies without hitting and the aimer is off so you have to aim at the chest to get a headshot and it can't crit half the time in VATs mode. :V

Hope there are no guns in NV that bugged.
