You guys should get a laugh at this..

Well, to be fair, they apparently do this every two weeks, and they've already done Planescape: Torment and Fallout (as one of the first), so they're not completely moronic.

I'm not ashamed to admit that I actually enjoyed Baldur's Gate II a lot. And yes, it probably is one of the best games of all time. The best game of all time is of course - as we all know and agree on - Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura. :P

I enjoyed Baldur's Gate 1. I'd grown tired of the infinity engine by baldur's gate 2 though and as a result, never even got past the first dungeon. As was said earlier though, at least PS:T and Fallout are on there.

Gamespot are as clueless and full of shit as they always were. Why do you read them, anyway?

They have a breadth of coverage, usually I use it for news or screenshots, etc of new games I want to see. Not for the editorial content or the 12 year olds that post there. I use other sites as well. But, as much as the little kids are annoying, elitist people are also annoying. I don't think I'm better for liking a game like Fallout. People get what they want out of games. The success of MMORPGs proves that people put in what they what to get out of a game, not just what the developer(s) put into it.

Edit: oh, on BG2, it was a fun game, only because of the social interaction with my friends and using a hack to break the level limits and create a half-ass character in the beginning. Not a "best game of all time". It's a good 7/10 though.

I didn't like the item progression in BG2, or the general flow of the game. The opening dungeon was crappy, you gained phat lewtz way too fast, and it seemed like a lot of the exploration was taken away by BG2.

The Druid's grove and the other class-specific buildings were pretty cool, though.
