-Fallout 1 and 2 : both UK versions bought on ebay. I also have the french versions and I just decided to check them in English

-Arcanum : my favorite game ever. I was actually kind of sad when I finished it for the first time. It's a french version, it was brand new and I payed 5 bucks for it in a french store during sales four years ago I think.

-Daggerfall : I first played it ten years ago at a friend's. I thought that it was great. Found my own copy two years later in a second hand store.

-System Shock 2 : bought it when it was released. Funny how Bioshock got old really fast for me and SS2 still manages to scare me and have me come back to it from time to time.

-Outcast : a nice and rather deep action/adventure game. While it felt nice and poetic at the time it now looks butt ugly. I still like it though.

-Carmageddon 2 : bought it when it was released too. The french version is censored ( zombies instead of human pedestrians ) but a patch was released soon after the release. It got me hooked for months. It was offensive, funny, brutal, and had great physics ( and I just love fucking with physics ).

-Postal 2 : found it last year in a french shop but already had played it. The game itself has a rather mehish gameplay but it manages to really entertain me. Even the bugs are funny in this game, seriously.

-Max Payne 2 : bought it when it was released too. Still did not find an action game which could beat Max Payne 2. Awesome graphics and physics, cool characters, charisma, mood, and even a nice storyline. I just LOVE it.

-Destroy all humans 2 : it was never released in France but the "NTSC" version is actually region free. Bought it on ebay last month and have fun with it like crazy. Told ya's : I just love to fuck with physics.

-Chrono Trigger : it's a japanese version I've bought for next to nothing eleven years ago. Went through the american version afterwards. Probably the only japanese rpg I really like.

-Raze's Hell : bought it last year. Almost impossible to find in France. Really funny shit, a tough game to beat and an awesome cooperative experience.

-Ultimate D&D : bought it today for fifteen bucks. Contains Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 + add ons, Neverwinter nights + both add ons, Icewind Dale 1 + add on, Icewind Dale 2, Temple of elemental evil, Demon Stone and Dragonshard. While I do not really like any of these games besides Baldur's Gate 2 and its add on, I thought it was a reasonable price for 13 games which all in all are not THAT bad.

Edit: There was a thread on the subject here, didn't last very long, maybe this one won't either.

Edit 2: But that one didn't even have comments so I guess this is slightly better.
 
I hated destroy all humans passionately.
same with the sequel.

The rest of your games are A class (cept I thought Max Payne was cheesy and gimmicky) though, damn good show.

I have a serious question...
if this is spam, then what exactly IS spam.
I think I need a clearer definition.
First, it was a term used for massively sent amounts of emails and electronic transmissions of an unsolicited nature, and then somewhere along the line it became synonymous with "contentless posting on a forum".

But the issue is this:
How do we know if something is spam before we post it?
I honestly think communiy interaction is content, but thats me, and this isn't my forum. But, just so I am clear and never end up being a 'spammer'... what defines spam?

I suppose you can answer me in a message, wouldn't want to derail the thread. I just am honestly curious.
 
Your collection look slike mine. I've got Max Payne 2 but haven't picked up 1 yet. As such, I haven't played 2 as I want the whole story.
 
Max Payne 1, well I'm not sure I liked it very much but the second one was flawless for me.

Also : I know that some of these games are not rare or anything but it's just that I like them a lot. Maybe I should have added Conker's bad fur day and Planescape Torment.
Will also make a picture with older games someday. Too bad I've sold my Atari ST.

It would be cool if Maphusio posted a pic of his favorite games. It seems that he has a nice collection of big boxed games...

Sadly I have lost a lot of my old boxes, like Age of Wonders, Metal Fatigue, etc.

However I kept the manuals, I guess I could make a piccy of the manuals when I get home...

That's nice dude but the point of the thread is to "show" ( a picture of your favorite games is therefore welcome especially if you have rare or old big boxed games, collectables etc... ) and especially to "COMMENT" ( just tell us why you like certain of these games and how did you get them if it's worth mentionning ). Let's just avoid making this thread into a collection of lists ;)
 
It is a sexy collection indeed ! That's a shitload of Fallout copies ! :shock:

You even have the strategy guide ! Is it cool ? I'd like to buy one on ebay but I don't know if it's really worth its price so, how is it ?

Well... Fallout 1 guide is better book 2 and has a nice story of the vaultdweller in it (like a diary). Fallout 2 guide is not as acurate as the first but imo both books are a must have for the collecter. When I don't have internet both books helped me alot getting more out the fallout games.

I would also like to add that Per his FO guides are way better then the books though :)

i dont have the boxes for most of he games so it would be a collection of cd cases and bare games :? :(
 
I was thinking about taking a photo of my collection back home before I returned to my uni town but ignored the nagging feeling... I'm going to have to go with the gut feeling next time! If the thread is still alive in 2 weeks time I might add mine then.

These all of them rare games i have. (all of 'em original & boxed) ;)
And I don't think Max Payne 2 is a rare game.... :)
