Don't know if people here are familiar with The Mighty Boosh series but it's simply begging to be made into a game. :)

MightyBooshTitles.png

The premise has a lot in common with the Sam & Max games:

-You have a double act here, Howard Moon(Sam?) and Vince Noir(Max?).
-The series usually takes place in the Zoo these guys work at(similar to the office and the neighbourhood in the Sam & Max series)
-You have lot's of recurring characters similar to the characters in the Sam & Max series. These can be used in the different episodes of the game.
-You have a crazy surreal world that would really fit into an adventure game with puzzle solving and such.
-etc. etc. etc.
These things I mentioned are simply a small fraction of the series, so there is obviously a lot more to it.

Be sure to check out The Mighty Boosh series and you'll get what I am saying here. Link:

Since this would make for a great adventure game, it should be made by none other than the mighty Telltale Games!
:D

If I were to make a video game, I'd make it set in a large city (i.e. New York style), where you play as a terrorist and gun cops and other guys down while progressing through a storyline, and making choices in between that affect it. It is a first person shooter which has an awesome FOV, the FOV changes as you sprint, jump, crouch, lock on to a certain target, get in a firefight etc.

Essentially you're chased down by the local PD (usual patrols, then SWAT) then various Intelligency agencies. The difficulty is rather difficult (i.e. you will limp when shot, you'll only be able to use one hand if the other has been shot at, you will bleed and die eventually if nothing is done to stop it, a few rounds even in a kevlar will kill you, and carrying around lots of guns or big bazookas without being spotted is not allowed), so you could expect a challenge instead of killing cops and civilians left and right.

The graphics - think of a modified Mirror's Edge with better physics, although you can't jump around like Spiderman. Explosions are always included when special forces and SWAT raid your safehouse, throw around flashbangs, etc.

You can choose a few faces (male - female) which will change your reflection, and the way you'll be reported to the local PD.

It has a somewhat dystopian setting, although the game is set in the period where this dystopia is only starting to cover the city.

You can drive cars, bikes, or whatever you might find on your way to escape the cops, even helicopters, all in first person.

It's sort of like a Postal 2 experience, except it's much larger, but you don't have the amount of violence it does - no beheading spades, machetes that cut you into pieces. It does have a sort of satirical plot beneath it, not to make it look too serious.

I would port this to XBLA:

And yes, I'm old enough to have played the hell out of it when I was a kid.

Shin Megami Tensei 4. Picking up from SMT3 and making something compeltely new and weird, you know, the typical Atlus experience.

Something set in 20's prohibition-era America, it's a goldmine that's almost untouched by the video game industry.

A 20's RPG would be really nice.

So far I have four ideas I would like to realize one day.

A Western RPG with super natural elements (I think its called Weird Western amongst RPG fans) and very slight steam punk elements (equipment and unique weaponry not found around that time, not giant steam powered spiders and such)

A horror RPG in which the player is a paranormal investigator or leads a team of paranormal investigators.
People should not think something like Resident Evil or Hellboy, I want the game to be more subtle when it comes to the supernatural elements, any entities will be barely visible or seen and the idea is more to make the player imagine the terror themselves).

I have an idea for a survival action game that takes place in a city that has been hit by a strange phenomenon and has been taken over by a strange power.
The player is one of the seemingly unaffected people and he/she must find out what is going on.

A roleplaying game that takes place in a hard science fiction imagined future inhabited by the descendants of humanity who have been modified or evolved by genetic engineering, cybernetics or both, and that has been destroyed by interstellar war.
The player is an astronaut from our near future who returns to Earth thousands of years after a mission to a black hole.

Well, me and some friends have a few:

1.A Lovecraftian RPG set in a coastal city, following a little on the premise of the Persona series, a gian Chasm underwater where a misterious creature calls the people to it's lair, etc.

2.A plataformer where you control the evirorment rather than the main character, your goal is to stop him from reaching the goal, while he gains more and more powers. I don't know if there is one like that already.

3.A Prohibition Era Mafia RPG were you have to build your team of associates to reach the top. Squad based TBS combat.

And those would be it for now.

Something like that but in the shoot-em-up genre would also be interesting.

A lone fighter takes on the might alien galactic empire, and you got to snuff him before he becomes to powerful and gets to far.
Sending in fighters, placing turrets, develop boss enemies and command them into battle.

Drop the combat focus and make it a grand strategy game.
Be a crime boss! Set up rackets, order hits, bribe officials, expand territory... Like Gangsters:Organized Crime but not shitty and from 1998

I don't know whether or not you like interactive fiction, but there's a really good Lovecraft-inspired example called Anchorhead:

I enjoyed it.

I see you can play it online now too.

This would be awesome!

As for me if someone could take the traditional Touhou franchise (not the spin-offs) and make them fully 3-D in gameplay (not just the graphics) I'd have a heart attack from being overjoyed. It's frantic, difficult, and fast-paced enough only moving in four directions...imagine six. Also imagine huge outdoor arenas with all the characters flying about at break-neck speed into and out of ever-changing patterns of mind-numbingly colorful danmaku.

Oh God just thinking about it...

:o ,
The Vault Dweller

Huh, in fact it'd be pretty awesome if the usual protagonist of any story, especially RP games (i.e. starts off as slum, ends up as the supreme king of everything with highly developed skills, talented companions, hundreds of friends and thousands of enemies - who, by the way, were killed, all of them) would actually be an antagonist.

Although I suppose that logic is faulty and can't really be applied, hmm.

I was playing Kingdoms of Amalur today and this idea came to my mind:

Aren't farytale creatures and such supposed to stumble upon something called technology at some point during their evolution?! I know, we have had some games that have used this idea, such as Arcanum, but how would a Deus Ex-ian world that is inhabited by elves, humans and orcs look like?!
A cyberpunk themed universe with farytale creatures would be quite refreshing and an interesting setting for an RPG.

Shadowrun fits that description.
