chewie dropped by to tell us Zero Projekt (formerly Fallout: Zero, now a standalone FIFE-based post-apocalyptic cRPG project), is soon celebrating its 2nd birthday (congratulations guys!). They've created a screenshot gallery which offers 84 screenshots showing the progress the game's made. A pick of the litter of recent screenshots:

It is pretty sexy.

Kinda looks like Omega Syndrome did. 3D renderings inlaid into a 2D engine. It works, and it looks quite well. Not fully exploiting the possibilities of 2D, that's true, but those are some pretty snazzy buildings right there.

Hey - thank you all for the feedback - and thanks to brother none for the news coverage :)

@cody92

No, that won't be the case - Zero-Projekt will come with 2 languages (German and English) - and if there are people out there to translate it into other languages, there will be even more available. :)

Thats good, i was thinking it would be a shame if i couldnt play it because the screen shots look great.

Snazzy!

Lets me think on Jagged Alliance 2. A bit.

Yeah. The good old times. Many wasted hours.
And there was little more funding behind it.

Looks damn shiny for an indy project. :)

Hello chewie,

Are you guys already working on a storyline?
And where will it take place?

Hi Dutch Ghost :)

Of course - the storyline is basically finished as well as the main locations. (Well, we had enough time for this stuff because in our first year the engine couldn't do very much for us).

The whole game plays in Germany, not sure if we expand it to Swiss & Austria *g*. Perhaps the expansion packs will do so ( ).

Our thread here at NMA contains some text about setting, story & gameplay - just have a look at it :)

If there are special points you're interested in - just place them there & we'll answer.

Yeah, the good old times. That's one reason behind Zero - to bring at least something of them back. :)

Thanks for the kind words - that's really motivating :)

I see now the graphics made a giant step forward, really good looking.
Plus the game won't be a fax of Fallout, as I read, so it can be a real awesome experience, good luck!

@chewie habt ihr noch die mail adresse von Interplay und ist da immer noch wer zu ereichen, sind das ehemalige FO1/2 Entwickler?
Weil ich eine Anfrage für die Fo Critters schicken will.

Sorry for writing german in an intarnational forum like NMA but my english isnt good enouth to as chewie in english.

Eh, personal I think if you want to call it Fallout Zero again that there wouldn't be such a problem.
As for Bethesda's claims that it would damage the name of the Fallout franchise, they can blow it out of their asses IMO.
