On the other side: I don't know if anyone tried asking Bethesda for permission for a fan remake based on the storyline of Fallout 1 or 2; so it might be worth asking :-)

You can always ask, but knowing Bethesda: no, it isn't.

Also, Fallout 1 and 2 are still being "published" by Interplay, that's to say profits from those games still go to Interplay and it is their product value that might be hurt by a fan based remake. As such, what Interplay said still stands - even though they can't enforce it legally - and it's not Bethesda you need to speak to.

habt ihr noch die mail adresse von Interplay und ist da immer noch wer zu ereichen, sind das ehemalige FO1/2 Entwickler?
Weil ich eine Anfrage für die Fo Critters schicken will.

chewie is not the person to ask.

I'm still in touch with any number of Fallout developers including a few who worked on Fallout critters. They are generally not interested in talking about such details, though, and often do not remember detailed questions.

There's no real sense in asking Interplay itself, they're very unwilling to uncover anything from Fallout since that can mean legal trouble with Bethesda.

So unless you have something uber-important to ask, forget it.

/me orders 4 additional arms & 1 additional brain

This looks like something I would pay to see finish.

But sorry, I hate paypal. Ill mail you a dollar if you give me your address.
