Orderite
Zero-Projekt has announced its 3rd anniversary and given us a status update over on their German website. I've been waiting for an English translation of the announcement but it's not coming, so let us provide you with some bullet points instead.
  • The main story has been completely rewritten
  • Rules are being tweaked and balanced all the time
  • Drag 'n drop mechanic has been improved
  • The Zero-Projekt team helped elimate a persistent bug from the FIFE engine
  • NPCs have been given daily schedules, based on parameters rather than scripting
  • Combat AI still needs a lot of polish
  • Zero-Projekt is working on Zedit, an in-house editor for FIFE
  • Zero-Projekt is in the middle of developing a playable demo, but work is slow and a release date can not be announced
Some screenshots, including an English-language character screen.

Thanks iridium_ionizer.

screenshots are simply perfect ! it seems the improved version of Fallout 2 graphics ! The interface is very awesome

The screenshot with the clouds looks especially awesome.
[*]Rules are being tweaked and balanced all the time
This is very true. I did a rough translation of the newest german screenshot of the character skill screen (which is newer than this English one) and one of the Zero Projekt developers responded by saying that this is still not finalized.

Thanks iridium_ionizer.
Your welcome.

It looks similar to fallout 2. I think they could have improved the graphics. Mediocre graphics and not turned based.
I think i will skip this one out.

Who said that it will not be the turn based? I'm sursprised where you got the this kind of information from. Graphics are work in progress and I'm sure that they'll further improve them until the demo gets released.

Even the tech-demo isn't finished yet, so you can count on the fact that the graphics will get improved from time to time.

Good to see this project is still active.

I wouldn't call the graphics bad, just a bit... inconsistent. It's still pretty good kicking, considering it's an indy game. I like the part with "NPCs have been given daily schedules, based on parameters rather than scripting" especially.

My overall impression is very positive, keep up the good work.

Looking good. I especially like the trees :)

Character screen looks good, too, though obviously I don't understand quite how the numbers work...
