The Tower of Creation website had been updated with a handful of news and updates related to the Fallout: Between good and Evil project:
So, you were starting to believe that we are dead? Maybe you've even deleted us from your bookmarks? Well, think again!

Last time, I've promised you new pictures of animated critters, new locations and, well, the things I usually promise. I have to disappoint you though - I haven't got a single animated monster for you :-P I can however offer you images from a brand new location - Phoenix...

New Phoenix is a city that tries to live the American dream and look decent, even at the cost of hundreds of lives of its citizens. The hero will have to learn about tough compromises on his journey too, but that is a story for another time.

(...)

I probably don't even have to mention that we are hiring, do I? We're still looking for a 3D graphic artists (for all those screens) and even more importantly programmers, which we still lack badly. Read more in the JOIN US section :-)

Four programmers currently dedicate their time to BGE: Tyfuz, Mihlon, C-X and Exist, where the last three have replaced Crow and Fuzzi, who have both meant a lot to the project;

Some stats to end with. We're not going to make the mistake of speculating over the release date or express our progress as a percentage, because it would have to be totally arbitrary. We can however be exact and tell you that currently there are:

- 678 scenery FRMs
- 114 item FRMs
- 760 tile FRMs
- 466 wall FRMs
- 852 critter FRMs
- 92 maps
- 139 msg files (CZ text)
- 129 msg files (EN text)

Though is doesn't mean that we'll be done before tomorrow's lunch, these numbers nicely show just how much work has been done over the last four years, even though we weren't expected to survive the winter and the initial enthusiasm phase :-)
Original post and more concept images here: Tower of Creation

Dead? No! Just dormant and working hard.

Nice work. The art pieces look great ingame and the gnarled tree reminds me of something from lotr.

Good to hear a little of the story as well rather than just artwork.

More than enough! Only one at MR - me! care to share some. :D

Great news guys - hope I get to play it someday.

Now give me a catapult launcher for that TNT and we're set! ;)

Its so unfortunate that so many great Fallout 1 and 2 mod teams are not getting along very well... :( It seems the only games worth playing with mods are in the fallout series

Good to here this isn't dead though! I can wait forever :P

For example?

FMF and MR didn't get on that well, but that was before I arrived. No problems after.

MR and BGE just have a friendly rivalry. We do trade artwork.

Rot Gut to you for the coverage, Silencer. You somehow overlooked this sketchy-sketchy thing, maybe next time, but thanks anyway.

Just a small boring note to anyone invading slow mods and modders: stop it. This is just not how it should work. Either don't flatly care about or just be a patient fan.

We in BGE, for example, are trying to overrun good old BIS'ers in some (hopefully) essential elements, like more complex area endings (outros), more interactive locations, really tied up towns, and more 3d work/artwork. In our spare time. And very often from scratch.

I'm obviously talking about solid projects at some level, not about chatoic liars and pretend-to-be-workers (hi FMF :P).

The last point - yeah, CP's probably right about badly mixed older BGE news.

Good news! I didn't know that. But what i meant was in the sense that they tend to start grand and often get somewhere, then sort of die off and not seem to get closer to finishing for years

I like how the tree totally fits into the other graphics.

The truth is, the tree is 3+ years old Ghostus' work that's debuting this days by accident. Didn't cross my mind.

So according to the storyline the post-war world has been taken over by Slavs, which is why the entire game is in a different language.

j/k ;)

Looks good.

If Slavs actually had, it would be worst than alien invasion. Slivovitz time!

Not kidding.
